I don't know why this is on my recommended RU-vid feed in 2024 but man this is nostalgic as hell. I was constantly checking leaderboards myself. I was a proper noob at the beginning but eventually ended up good mates with mcavoy91 and was in his party the whole month or 2 leading up to him taking over from Mukwah.. Can remember Mukwah trying his best to stay #1 but mcavoy91 preservered and got it in the end.. Great times.
I read on a graffiti forum that it's never going to get released due to how one of the members was portrayed. How true that is i don't know. So now all copies are sitting on a cupboard somewhere covered in 10+ years of dust.
It's not ever going to be released. One of the crew (not sure which one) wasn't happy at the way he was being portrayed in the final cut before the official release. This is just what i read on a Graffiti forum. So they pulled the plug & it'll probably never be shown.
Mukwah was a booster. I actually helped him out once. He’d add noobs like myself at the time, help him boost and then would delete u after helping him out lol. GNDOOOR was legit he just noob tubed a lot in HCSD
They sprayed silver shit all over real artwork in the skatepark in ladbroke grove, but the local ninja badman had them cleaning it off with scouring pads.
It's a such a shame that the most important London crew can't manage to get this thing out. Documentaries will stay online forever, analogue pics and hard drives in someone's attic will all get lost eventually.
This not coming out is the biggest loss to London graffiti ever. This documentary would of been everything to those from the city and the rest of the scene would of always known what the real golden age of graffiti was about, before the net or the hardback books. When you would meet random writers on platforms across the city. Tell the guy who didn’t want the fame or name as the governor give over and let this out. The kings are the kings and will reign forever. Those who know heR the gossip. Re-edit the thing and please put this out, it’s bigger then the crew. It’s literally about a culture the crew defined. Fume, teach, rate, zonk, cosa, diet, take, sub, shu2, fuel, korsa, steas, I could go on. These guys defined all city and their contributions NEED to be certified in the archives. R.I.P Mood, Skeam, Duba, veko, Pow and all the other young kings who were lost in the pursuit of defining their names. The dubstars are the epitome of London Graf. Shame they only did a few productions pieces. Tooting was crazy back in the day.
they dont want the public to see it, they want it shut away in the sheds, and cleaned up as quickly as possible, because they know how powerful it was for another person to see something like that. Its basically proving that people have over come certain fears and constrictions about how they want people to live, and when you create a painting its a very symbolic, charged example, of people overcoming that fear, and it helps other people realise that maybe they can do something like that themselves, which is powering for individuals
