it was supposed to be released in 2012 according to the original star wars battlefront delevopers company called biohazard. it was 99 percent complete but they got bought out by EA and the game was scrapped for several reasons. i was a 11 and i remember the leaks but i waited years for it then EA did their own takes on the games which didn’t measure up the the star wars battlefront 3 that would have released back in 2012
Likewise, I remember hearing about and seeing Battlefront III on gaming forums during the 2010’s. As it turned out, the PSP version of Battlefront III was in fact released as Star Wars Battlefront Elite Squadron, which contains some of the exact same cutscenes, maps, and ground to space combat. The PS2 version of battlefront III was allegedly almost completely done, but we only got some models from that version of the game to look at.
