Nice (I just watched 12 mins), What is the buzzing sound in the background ? Rain ? You and Santosh are very much in love, it shows in your interaction. 👍
Rain and the ensuing chaos in setting things up, and this was a new space we learned of, just a day before the event and we were prepared for another, more open space. Hence the buzz (I guess there was also a pedestal fan). We suggest you turn the captions on for at least SOME clarity. Apologies about the audio.
Hi, we from Mysore Medical College have college centenary celebration.on 27-29Sep.2024(coming Friday)we desperately want to buy this book in bulk. Please visit us. Tx.
Hello, I guess my point about the reprint wasn’t clear, please? I am not reprinting it. A family member of Umadevi has taken up the project. We can only wait and watch when the reprint happens. They own the copyright.
I knew her when I was doing my masters in Mysore medical college. I remember one more short story “Uguruguru benda bele” - ಉಗುರುಗುರು ಬೆಂದ ಬೇಳೆ which was published in some weekly magazine in 80s. I remember that I was a teenager and so impressed and influenced by that short story. And then I met her in the PG hostel room of Mysore medical college with awe in my heart. Yes she was a very simple and quiet person
What a haunting title of that short story, just like any of her works. Could you kindly let me know if you still have a copy of that magazine or any form in which the story is preserved? Also, thank you for reaching out and sharing. 🙏🏼
She was my classmate in Mysore Medical college 68 to 1974.she used to write in our college magazines which was liked by all students, she was soft spoken lady
So I was told by one of Umadevi’s relative who reached out to me. I’m not sure if anything concrete resulted from that PhD? Also, I did get a copy of her maahaakaavya recently as well. Will read it. Thank you for reaching out.
It’s noteworthy how, although the anthology itself is called Halfway, there are no half measures in your poetry and it hits right home each time! Lovely watching you reading these excerpts. 😊❤
I recently came across your channel. i am happy that there are many things common between you and me. I am also nature lover, childless by choice, loves travelling etc. Earlier I used to think I am alone who does not go with the flow of society. But there are now people like u who are also wildlife lover and i feel happy about that. Rececntly i came across a movie named "Maa ka doodh" available on youtube for free. In that it has shown how further we can help animals and environment and prevent ourselves from diseases. If u are interested then do watch that movie and share it with others.
Holy****!!!!!!!!!!! That’s one of the most poetic things anyone has ever said on this planet!!!!!!!!!! Wow! You make me want to write more and write better! Thank you, my dear fellow wordsmith!!! 🥹🥹🙏🏼🙏🏼💓💓
Your observations are so sensible and sensitive madam. We Indians have become very noisy as a race I believe. As you said we are not mindful of our neighbours discomfort. This crude and overarching behaviour is due to lack of sensitivity and inner emptiness on the part of the individual. Appreciate your well-balanced, non-hurtful way of sensitizing the mass of the land of masses.
@@ramakrishnadasa936, so refreshing to see such calm and kind comments on RU-vid. Thank you very much, and you are very right about all that. Let’s hope we all try to live peacefully. 🙏🏼
Hello! I'm from Kerala, and I discovered your channel through your 'Childfree by Choice' video. It really struck a chord with me, and that's when I decided to subscribe. I just watched your latest video and wanted to let you know that I’m here because of that impactful 'Childfree by Choice' content. Thanks for sharing your thoughts
You infuse places with personalities and life itself with liveliness, Poetess! You show how one can live in rapture of the universe. And of course the story of the elderly woman offering the sound of existence in a conch shell. ❤❤
