This is not a fair review with a click-bait title as by your own admission, you didn't clean and store it properly after using (user error). In fact, keeping any devices in wet humid environment is bad for them, regardless of brand.

I know what's the problem. It's the strap, you need the one with rubberized layer near the electroed. Because otherwise when there's a lot of sweat it will short circuit the electroded and the monitor will stop working until you wash the strap thoroughly again. If it goes long enough in short circuit mode it will broke. The newer version of the strap should have the rubberized strap.

This is why it cost so much less than Polar H9 for example. But what about the accuracy? I have both H10 and Magene and see that Magene H64 is so fast responsive, it differs a lot from H10 in high speed changes, h64 give immediate results, while H10 smoothering it.

Did you regularly wash your garmin tri? I know they say you should to improve longevity. I'm trying to figure out which to buy. I want running dynamcis and more reliable heart rate, and I want the ability to store it on the strap for a workout and then sync later if I don't have my watch with me. I have the fenix 5 so I want the HRM to be compatible. Would you recommend H10 or tri?
@sportsmanmalaysia
@sportsmanmalaysia 4 года назад
Yes I do wash the Garmin Tri regularly. I like it very much as well and it lasted a good 1 year for me before it stop working. Not sure best practice to take care of it properly. But if you're technically inclined and maybe let it fan dry it after every wash and use. It might last much longer. My polar is still working great and works well with my fenix3 but when you're not wearing the watch beside you data is not consistent. So go with the Garmin and take good care of it
