Is it still worth doing if i have all 99 combat except prayer which is 80? Also is it even worth it to solo over cox? I havent learned either of them solo yet and just want to be sure im not wasting time
If you've never done a solo chambers id recommend learning that first as its far easier to learn, this is possible with 80 prayer but having higher just makes it a bit better
Every tick is 600ms, having 100 ping vs 10 barely matters in this game, obviously its slightly worse but not very noticable as long as you're used to it, the only times having low ping matters is in PVP, and doing anything that require quick reaction time. 99% of pvm in this game is a rhytm that you get into, so ping is mostly irrelevant.
is there any cue in xarpus animations/sound effects to help when to step under/back? i 5 tick all day in teams but in solos it just feels very weird and the animations/sound effects dont seem to be consistent with his attack cycle
Where do you rank extra mage switches/shadow in terms of time save? In my standard setup I only bring heart, kodai, and anc top+bottom. With fero glove takeoffs and no magic drain it still guarantees freezes. I did the janky math for p1 fairly recently and iirc dawnbringer at 112 mage assuming 3.5 hits per cycle is the fastest kill time, even over dawnbringer into 2x max melee divined scythe hits. I'm interested in bringing shadow but it seems like it would just be some time saved on nylo boss and ig corner hits on bloat? Oh also, thoughts on sbs for thralls in a non-rec setup? It's rare that I do more than 5 solos in a day, lmao. Regardless, thanks for the updated guide!
I've not done any calcs with new augury etc, but its generally small differences overall in terms of time saves, this guide focuses mainly on just the most important things rather than time saves.
That's crazy you uploaded this yesterday after I set out a goal to complete solo tob. Suffice to say I've just pbed and made it verzik p2 on my 3rd attempt ever (forgot to TE zap) next one for sure, I can see becoming addicted to this.
I actually used your older guide + some of the recent ones from other youtubers to get my kc, finished my 3rd one yesterday, you and gnome have helped me immensely in understanding backtiling, appreciate the effort you put into this
What a beast, Chriskies always slaying away at tobs :D One question though for nylos: How do you stall waves so that a lot of them dont spawn at the same time?
before wave 20, there can only be 12 nylos in the room at one time, then it increases to 24. When you kill the big nylos, they split into 2. The big ones only counts as one, so if u kill alot of big ones at the same time you will stall on purpose, and later all of those will detonate at the same time, making it unlikely that you will stall on the waves where you need to setup the conga line
I think it's an option, but I find claws to just outperform it by a mile in any setup, especially in the learner setups, you should not need extra healing. Killing p2 faster saves u supplies too. Claws are really good for nylo waves, bloat and also for p3.
What is the nylo boss like with no tbow and no shadow, do you still try to do 2:1 and just accept that your hits in the range phases are going to be much less?
I use rune crossbow with addy ruby bolts (e) + ely shield. And kodai + ely shield. Can still 2-1 perfectly and you get some healing during mage phase, and a chance to proc a ruby bolt during range phase.
This is insane, but I cant help but wonder, if you added a 3rd account so 1 barrage, 1 scythe, 1 venerator bow at nylo. And then just have the two shadow at maiden, similar mechanics at bloat. xarpus would be same number of clicks, just 3rd account to juggle. Verzik on the other hand will be hard but honestly just use two accounts as pack yacks and solo most of verzik P3.
