Jerry was probably the most inventive guitarist since the war and Chet is arguably the greatest all round guitarist ever. Just brilliant, both of them.
After you watch Chet, try this number: "Valenki" by Anastasia Tyurina 10 years old on a balalaika. Talk about your "Dizzy Fingers" !! He's got some 40 years on her to have learned his expertise. LOL (Plus she's a lot cuter than Chet. LOL) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wRd-vbYpLck.html And try this too Johann Strauss: Tritsch -Tratsch Polka: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wNXc-QaCwJc.html
Ah...vertical hold.Remember turning the little dial at the bottom of the tv to dial in the vertical and horizontal stabilization. Oh, and two absolute legends just chill as can be.
I've been searching for this video for a long time. I knew I saw it before where he, Chet, said he made Marcel Dadi and Muriel Anderson a CGP. Although he wasn't too clear about Muriel. He said he believed he made her a CGP. But he did give her a pin.
Two legends here. They are the very best of the best. Thank God for them. So sadly they had to leave us. I'm sure they are picking for the man upstairs. RIP Chet and Jerry.
As people say I didn't know GW Bush played such great guitar and in this clip Jerry is trying to look so Bill Cosby long before that became a 4 letter word! lol Two great guitar men! Hope they are playing music together and teasing each other in the sky somewhere...
@@hughvane they may not be on a "list" but Chet is on record here saying they both are, so that counts in my book. So including Paul Yandel, who was awarded it posthumously by Chet's family, that makes 8 CGP total.
*Here it is: plain and simple>>>>>>> what we have here, ladies and gentlemen are TWO LEGENDARY PERFORMERS in the element (GUITAR/MUSIC.) Closing remarks: By Heaven's Amazing Grace, I've been in music for 34 YEARS...not 34 days, not 34 weeks, not 34 months.......THIRTY~FOUR YEARS. ~Officially signed, Rockin Matt: American Music Recording Artist.*
I totally agree with Chet Jethro can really play that thing. I find it interesting that he was billed as a bluegrass musician but he actually plays jazz.
There was always that crossover, that's what made bluegrass what it was, Chubby Wise was an out and out jazz fiddler playing in New Orleans when he joined Bill Monroe.
