You should sound excited about this purchase. It sounds like this was a hassle to make this video or you were bothered. Get your viewers excited about this new addition to your gaming collection! Or better yet, get them jealous!
Thanks for checking it out, glad you were able to see what's inside and still keep your copy new if you want it sealed. That's why I started unboxing these, there's not a lot of vids on the ones that less ppl purchased. And even less unboxings when u count all the resellers sitting on collectors editions. I am a fan of ppl enjoying their physical games and not just making a pretty shelf, but for some games, maybe you really love the series and want a sealed copy. Or you already downloaded it digitally and just want to have a back up physical in case the game is ever taken offline. Or maybe some ppl just like preserving a sealed collection and that's how they enjoy them, I can't judge. I've been so busy, I have a huge backlog to play/unbox. Some really special items too, a couple are actually rare, I need to get back to uploading.
Thank you for all your Premium Edition Unboxing! I love the chill vibe you have and after I discovered your channel last night I bought Wunderling DX and Cathedral 💜 Looking forward to more videos in the future. You got a new sub! Purple love from The P Wing
Nice, thanks for checking the vid out! I'm glad you were able to get an idea if it's worth it for u, that's 1/2 the reason I even unbox these, so awesome you tuned in even for a bit. Sorry for the late reply, I've been in the hospital on and off since February, I have more Premium Edition Games that I need to unbox/go for patch challenges, I would've had uploaded Eagle Island Twist and Love 3 already. But I don't know if it's too late now for the patches, still gonna do it now that I'm home for good hopefully. Thanks again, I'm getting my long-awaited LRG Shantae statue tomorrow, so I'll definitely unbox that along with the other Premium Edition Games I missed. 👍
I'd like to know too.. All unbox videos I checked don't go into detail and not even LRG's site says anything about it. I get the feeling it might be empty 💀
I love the passion for detailed packaging, it's like an indicator of how much the company cared about releasing the game. Lots of other limited games just go with the same old template. This release was like a Russian doll of artwork, plus the boxes are all super sturdy, definitely recommend it for platformer collectors.
Sorry shantae was first so people should stop saying shantae stole from this game as it was the other way around shantae was created in 1994 but not in a game till 2002
Oh wow! Thanks for checking the vid out, I really am impressed with all the artwork, but the cover is so well done, bravo! Can't imagine all the work that goes into it, keep up the great work. 👍
@@Chicomite thank you man. Yeah it's allot of work. The hardest part is finding a composition that works best. Usually i get it in 1 go. Other projects have up to 15 different mock ups till the final is reached.
A lot of collectors dont open their games. Their reasoning is that it will be worth someting later or they bought the game or games digitally already. So they will keep them sealed now because of that. I prefer my games physical so i open up my games to play them. But i dont understand it either. But any who. Collectors are different. Plus also if you need to sell the games for any reason at all. You can with physical but you cant sell digital games. So physical is over all better.
I wanted to update you. I got my copt of raji for switch finally and i got a copy of wunderling dx for switch also. Great video. Im looking forward to getting my copy of castlevania advane collection for switch. I also ordered the jurassic park classic games collection for switch. Im going to soon order gargoyles remastered for switch and as soon as shantae advance risky revolution gba goes up for preorder. Im getting it also. Its still amazing a new physcial gba game in 2023 but it releases in early 2024. I could keep going on. So many amazing games i want to order. Definitely looking forward to the gex trilogy for switch and tomba for switch aswell.
It was an open preorder on LRG's site for about a month and a half at its original price for $175(pretty much all of the "ultimate" editions of their games are at that $175 level). I haven't looked at ebay reseller prices, as that's the only way to get one now. If I wanted it and saw a listing for close to $200, I'd pay that as it's close to what I paid after shipping/taxes. But I was a little disappointed in this ultimate release, the Castlevania Requiem edition and others are a bit more premium/worth it. You never know until it's in your hands.
Good question. First, it's a game that is still available in retail stores, so I would shy away from pirating games that are currently legally available at MSRP or retail. Also, I almost exclusively collect physical games, unless it's a game that has never been released on disc/cart. I don't digitally buy games, I want to own my purchases forever or until I want to sell them. Most importantly, not only have we waited for a TMNT beat em up since the '90s, Shredder's Revenge is an amazing game. So much so that many beat em ups after it are copying the art style, hit mechanics, color palette, etc., this new TMNT game deserves to be supported if we want to aw another quality game in the series. And personally, I just want to play on my TV with a nice controller on console. I have zero problem with emulation, I have modded consoles to play burned games, almost every Everdrive, an Analogue Pocket with all those emulation cores for other consoles, R4 cards, I enjoy searching through roms/disc images for new games I don't know about. It just bothers me a bit to pirate a game that isn't older and unavailable for purchase, or a game purposefully broken by the devs. And I'm lucky enough to live in the U.S. where I can access the game legally very easily for cheap. Play games however you get the most enjoyment for you, no problem. 👍
@@Chicomite the guy meant to say it's free with a Netflix account. Last I checked, the latest DLC pack is not available on the Netflix release for android and iOS devices.
Dude, I'm so jealous of you getting that blue one. I wanted it is so, so bad... Yeah, it glows in the dark.... Damn Congratulations man! Just found your channel, I love watching CE/LE unboxing of things I couldn't get. Nice!
Oh cool, dang, I had no idea First 4 Figures did an Alucard, I would've been all over that. I don't have any statues/figures from First 4, but they look like such high quality/care put into detail, I'm really beating myself up for not getting the Mega Man X that came out a few years ago. But there's tons of cool Mega Man figures, Alucard has much less options, I'm gonna check it out and see if it's for me. Thanks for the recommendation! I do love the cutesy plush I got, his coat has all the metal details printed on it, and it was super cheap when available. I have no idea why they were so limited and on such a random site. They were available for a long time too, until someone somewhere got the word out, and they sold out immediately after that.
Ive had the raji an ancient epic for switch ordered for a good while from premium edition games. It shows that it was supposed to ship in spring 2023. Its now july 2023 and spring is over and no sign of it shipping anytime soon. Hopefully it will soon enough. Its a great game. I had played the demo. I prefer my games physcial. So im just waiting.
Thanks for checking out the video. I better download the Raji demo quickly to see if it's something I'd get into, I keep forgetting. Coincidentally, PEG just today sent the update email that the wave of games with Raji and They Bleed Pixels will start to ship soon and to make sure your address info is correct. So it's finally coming. This has definitely been the longest wait from them, as their company seems to be growing with the Sony releases and lots of games being announced. Hopefully they can hire more people and deliver the games in a quicker time span like they have before. Physical media > Digitally "renting." I'm still waiting on Love 3 to come, can't remember which I ordered first, that or They Bleed Pixels, but at least the Raji wave is finally coming. I agree, this wait was a bit more annoying with no updates on the site or email.
@@Chicomite Thanks for the info. Means a lot. I need to check my email then. I just subscribed to your channel. I'm looking forward to more videos. I'm thinking about picking up the wunderling dx game very soon. You are very welcome.
Im very interested in this game. Looks very fun and colorful. I think its called an endless runner game because the character is always running. Great unboxing video.
Thanks a lot! I appreciate that, if at least one or two ppl can inspect the contents of whatever I'm unboxing/checking out, to see if it's something they're interested in, then it's worth the time to do. Plus it's stress relieving to film these videos. Now I just gotta work on making a workspace and also not making 30+ min videos lol. My real youtube goal is to review every PS1 and PS2 2D sidescrolling platformer and beat em up, there are some real, actual hidden gems in there that nobody talks about. I just have a huge passion for the PlayStation brand since the PS1 came out, even though I grew up an NES and SNES kid. (There's quite a bit of 2D platformers on PS1, and a few on PS2). There's not even a definitive list online, I almost have all the games, but I'm missing like three $500+ games, and I can't justify buying that outright. Plus I can just burn the games and play em on my modded PS1 or PS2, but I was trying to get a physical copy of every PlayStation 2D game, I still read the manuals and stuff.
Thanks for the video. I am still waiting for mine. Oh and the song you were referencing from SoTN library is called Wood Carving Partita. Enjoy the game!
I'm just glad I had some time to unbox this long awaited release to help interested ppl decide whether they'd enjoy the extras. Wood Carving Partita! Thanks so much! I knew it was named something weird. Still bummed I passed up on that big, very limited Castlevania soundtrack collection a year ago or so. Hopefully you get your Requiem soon, I think you'll enjoy it even more seeing it in person. The outer big box really is so nice, I'm surprised I like it better than the CV Anniversary Collection's window box gimmick with the button to play music. Requiem box just has such a high quality design and print/ink. Plus the classic artwork all foiled up looks so nice. Thanks for checking out the video!
So many awesome releases I accidentally passed up on because I thought I wouldn't like it, it happens sometimes(recently it was River City Girls, I had no idea I'd love that game). Especially with the amount of these collector's editions coming out, sometimes it's overwhelming and I just say screw it for a couple months and play my backlog. I hate to say it, but judging by the past limited releases that I've realized I wanted after the fact, buying it off of ebay right now would probably be the cheapest way you'll be able to get one now that they're shipping. Some resellers even buy so many that they end up having to sell it for close to the original price, but it's always right now when the game is starting shipping. At least in my experience, that's the cheapest second chance at a game like this. If I was gonna try to get a copy now, I would be hearting a bunch of listings to my ebay right now to track the price for a week or so, and then get the cheapest one that looks undamaged. Hope you can find one for a reasonable price, I haven't looked at them on the reseller market yet.
Thanks for checking the vid out. Nice! I hope your copy comes quickly and undamaged, those plastic corner pieces give me a bit more confidence regarding shipping damage possibility. Even though it's expensive and lacks things like an artbook or full soundtrack, I think you're gonna be happy with it, especially seeing it in person. That coffin is too cool, this set really is a high quality display piece, I can't wait to display all my Castlevania stuff.
Thanks for checking out the unbox! I just beat it, and I liked Pirate's Curse of course, I like every Shantae game and games like it. But man I was shocked that there were no animal transformations, the main gimmick in every Shantae game. Especially after I got the Pirate's Curse LRG card with the monkey transformation on it(the screenshot is from a different game). I kept waiting for that monkey to be unlocked. But then I realized Shantae doesn't have her dance move to change into the animals. But I love the pirate theme, and getting all of Risky Boots' items to use instead was fun. I just wish it was a bit longer and more robust if they were going this way. I really think the animal transformations should've been there in a small capacity. Unless it's in a new game plus or something, I doubt it. And the dash move was weird, the whole running for a few seconds before getting that small window to press dash. At least they designed plenty of level segments that utilize the unique dash. They just made a lot of different decisions that don't necessarily make it a bad game, but definitely it's the different one from the rest of the series. I think Risky's Revenge or Shantae 1 might still be my favorite, along with Seven Sirens. I would put Pirate's Curse right after those.
2 months ago, nice. I barely got mine on August 1st 2022(when you had to go through the Sony raffle for a chance to buy one, then hopefully be able to secure a console order on the day they schedule you). I love the console, though I have no idea why the PS5 is missing so many customizable features that the PS4 and PS3 had(and I think the PS4 d-pad is slightly better). No themes, icons, backgrounds, but I still love it and play both PS4 and PS5 games on it. Am I busy this week? I have a few medical conditions I've been dealing with, but other than that, no, did you have certain games in mind to play or something? My PSN name is Chicomite. Thanks for checking the video out, the gameplay really is a lot of fun, faster than Scott Pilgrim.
Oh man, thank you Olof for checking out my simple video! I only do just enough research before buying a game, so I don't spoil any cool mechanics or twists. You should absolutely feel proud that this release you put out is both good and fun(lots of devs forget the fun part lol). I've played it now, and Wunderling definitely is a quality game, more involved than what I was thinking. The levels feel great, I haven't played one yet where I felt it was boring or same-y, which can happen with some indie platformers with a lot of levels. I always have that motivation to go for the chests/portals, just from the level design alone(even though I love the outfits too). It's fun to go through the level again immediately after first beating it, hitting every wall to find a path, optimizing your run, etc. And the auto-walking definitely feels right for the whole game concept, I can see why you guys went that route. The care and quality feels on par with games like Sir Love-a-Lot, which I highly recommend and consider to be one of the better modern 2D platformers to come out recently. Great job with this release, can't wait to beat it. The effort made on the little things really helps the game feel complete, even something as simple as watching Wunderling in his walk cycle in the outfits menu is very nice. Thanks again Olof for checking my unboxing out, so cool! I'll be following your game releases for sure now.
No problem, the game is very good! I'm so glad that unboxing some of these more obscure games helps ppl decide whether to add it to their game library or not. And for a small collector's edition, I thought it was a pretty cool package.
Thanks for checking it out! I'm still so glad I was able to get one. Apparently it was only on Amazon, and after about 2 days the PS5/XBOX collector's editions sold out, then the PS4 and Switch versions were gone soon after(and the standard PS5 copies). Still weird for a wide popular release like this to get no big announcement, no heads up, not even targeted ads, it was just there. I only knew because some youtubers were talking about it. I'm pretty sure most of the artbook is available to view in the game, so at least people will be able to see what I think is the coolest part with these editions, the artbook.
I'm in the U.S., Amazon was the only store selling the TMNT collector's editions, and they also had regular editions for PS4/PS5/XBOX/Switch(on the American Amazon). I think the regular PS4 copies were sold everywhere, but I just checked Amazon, and they have both regular and PS4 copies in stock again. Like I said, I'm in the U.S., so I'm not sure about other countries. Maybe try PlayAsia if you can't find it on your Amazon, or at a retail store? And they aren't much money on ebay either, hope you find a copy.
Thanks for watching! The game is great, had a lot of fun going through it. I think the only difference with the Switch version is almost all the collector's editions of Switch games have that red Nintendo Switch logo on the top left.
Awesome! That's exactly why I unbox stuff like this, to help others decide. And with those acrylic standees, I think there was a piece of film I was supposed to peel off that would've made then perfectly clear, you can see a label on one of the pieces that says "remove film before assembly", so I don't think they look milky when you remove that.
Thanks for watching! Usually I'll just unbox games I buy from "limited" companies that I think ppl would want to see everything that comes with it, before buying it on the reseller market. Especially the games that fly under the radar sometimes. And if you were interested in Narita Boy, definitely know going in that it is an Action/Adventure sidescroller with a heavy emphasis on combat. I don't remember any major platforming parts besides jumping over a gap or whatnot. Basically, it's all about the combat/visual vibe/story. Still fun, glad I played through it.
@@Chicomite yes, it’s nice to see unboxing videos like this, for those like me who wants to see what’s inside before buying. I watched many videos of Narita Boy, and i loved the gameplay, the design, the « retro effect » ! (Hope my english isn’t bad)
@@SupaDadoo You're English is great, better than most Americans lol. As long as you like the design of the game, I'm sure you'll enjoy it, it's an experience for sure.
The only reason I don't use a metal butter knife is just because the ones I have are very serrated and so thick they wouldn't fit in between most of those super snug new boxes(or damage them trying to slide the knife in). But looking in my kitchen drawer, I found the perfect tool, the butter spreader! It's metal for the strength, and it has no serrations, it's my new go to tool for opening games. But yea, most people's butter knives will work just fine.
Ordered this yesterday, getting it Monday according to tracking. This was a really good unboxing video dude. Don't be so critical of yourself...."I'm the worst unboxer ever". No. You did good my man!
Thank you! I always feel like I'm not paying attention or messing up the camera or something. I'm glad you could get a copy, it's a fun game and good package, definitely worth it.
Thanks for checking it out. Sadly I have to agree, even the box and print quality are extremely high on this SLG release, LRG has been cheaping out so much in comparison. My $200 Castlevania PS4 copy is finally getting shipped, all the Switch guys got theirs already apparently. I'm pretty curious to see if the quality is better than a cheaper collector's edition, can't wait to unbox that one. You never know, like the LRG retro releases of Game Boy, NES, SNES games etc. are extremely high quality, like getting an Analogue product or something premium, it's all super nice. And the stuff from the distibuted LRG line are usually made of way sturdier materials than a numbered LRG release, Monster Boy CE, Cursed Castilla CE, it's obvious a different company was in charge of those releases. Then there's others that are quite flimsy, numbered LRG games like the Metal Slug XX CE or recently that Super Meat Boy CE, what a fiasco that release was. So many came damaged, mine included(who knew a flimsy piece of styrofoam would get easily crushed in shipping gee), plus the whole thing of it being their last Vita release and how impossible it was to get, I was ready that morning and absolutely could not get the Vita version, barely got the PS4 copy.
It is underrated, thanks for watching! I show these for fun and to help ppl who want to know what comes with these editions if they want one. The link is the only guide I found anywhere, and you still gotta kind of know where you're going in game, but his playthrough did help me out on a couple parts when I completed the PS4 version(it's the same as the Switch port). It's a standard playthrough, but like I said it did help me figure out a couple parts where I skipped huge parts of the map. Glad he has it in segments. ru-vid.com/group/PL2fCsHy3Q-g66cdP9rd5LXghmgoOlIVdb
Thanks, I love the whole package. It really is a nice edition, I was very pleased with the included strategy guide and box quality. Hopefully I showed the contents and what it comes with in a way to help anyone make a decision who wants to buy one. There's standard editions still available on the website IIRC, but for this edition, I'm sure right now will be the cheapest time to buy one from a reseller, as people are getting their copies shipped to them and probably listing them right now for maybe $15-$20 more than the original price. Which isn't horrible if someone missed the pre-order.
The autos are likely of idiots who work there.. Pretty worthless if you ask me.. That vita card is pretty cool though.. I just think this idea was a rip off.. Especially the way they did these.. Its should have been something like a box of 24 packs with chances to get autos and plate cards for like 50 bucks like real card companies do.. But, on the plus, at least a lot of the cards I want will likely be cheaper on ebay.. Like you said, there are games we have gotten that didn't have cards(in my case, I've bought a few of their games off best buy with no cards and I got a copy of Senko No Ronde 2 off ebay that didn't come with the card)..
