Welcome to Living that Florida Life with Coco and Phillip!
Just sharing highlights of our life after moving to Florida from Oklahoma.
After 7 years of marriage we are still discovering new things and finding ways to keep the excitement going. And being Empty Nesters in our 50's, we are living this second phase of life to the fullest, as much as we can!
We hope our adventures encourage you to get out more, laugh out loud and appreciate the little things, no matter what phase in life you are in...Life is meant to be enjoyed! 🥰

😂 When I heard the Hooker Room, why I think you were speaking of your marital tent and the activities happening there. Lol... and hear you pulling out a vape.. Another thing. Phillip is taking to this RU-vid thing pretty fast. Let him know we appreciate him being involved. His sportsmanship really adds value to your male viewers. Appreciate the entertainment, guys.
Hey y’all!! My husband is from Atmore he left right after high school and later joined the military for twenty plus years.Atmore has really grown with lots of local jobs. When we come down to visit his family, we stay at Winn Creek rv park. The whole area is pretty nice but the camp sites could use a few more trees. Maybe we’ll see you guys. Happy camping.😊😊
Hey! 👋🏽 Yes and the sites could also use some more leveling! 😄 But I do enjoy quick little get aways there. The food at Fire restaurant is always so good! And yes maybe we will end up there at the same time one of these days 😁 Thanks for watching! 🥰
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TECUFcT2ez4.html I was concerned as well, but according to the dealership, google and camping world it has the tow capacity. We can't go to the mountains obviously, but staying local it pulls just fine. And when and why would we sit in the slide while pulling it in? 🤷🏽♀
Hey y'all! Girl!! You had me laughing with those hate bugs because those bugs are not lovable and they stink too!!🤣🤣🤣 On another note, haven't been to Krul Lake, must put that on our list. btw... loved that roast! Thanks for sharing your adventures. Love it!!!
Hello Coco! Just wanted to let you know that your channel inspired me to make a camping video. I recently went to West Gate River Ranch Campground. I went Glamping for the first time and it was awesome!!! The campground has a wide variety of accommodations including a rv park. Have you ever been there? If not, I highly recommend it!! I made a RU-vid video about my experience at the campground, check it out so you can see what West Gate River Ranch is all about. Thanks for always putting out great content! I always love your RU-vid videos! 💕💕
@@LivingthatFloridaLifeTV Westgate River Ranch is so nice and it’s just over a hour away from me in Orlando. I wanted to attend the Rodeo but the Rodeo is only on Saturday and we stayed on a Wednesday so we didn’t get a chance to go but I definitely want to go back and attend the Rodeo. I hope you get to go to Westgate. I’m not sure exactly how old Westgate is but I know the Glamping tents that we stayed in are fairly new and was recently recognized as the Best Glamping by USA Today. Thanks again for watching! I definitely have to check out Henderson Beach State Park and the Destin area.
My husband and I have been part time campers for years we both just recently retired so we’re going to camp more often!! You guys enjoy be safe and happy camping!😊
I'm so glad you said something cause I thought it was me! There are drawings of some sort in the floor panels and it's a little twisted I told others and they just laughed it off.
Do you have a Forest River Grey wolf? I really would like to know the real story behind it, because it is a little creepy. And that's why I mentioned it because I wanted to know if anyone else has seen them in their trailer.
Hi y'all, loved the video. The food you prepared looked so good. My grandma had a chicken coop so sometimes I would have to help retrieve eggs, girl I hated it 🤣. That was a nice shaded trail. You're so funny, love bugs scene. Glad Phillip got everything he chose from Temu, that so great! Looking forward to your next video.
Hey! Gurl you and Phillip are really from the country! 😂 I never had to retrieve eggs or use an outhouse, but I would love to have a chicken coop in the country today LOL Yeah and as the items are coming in, he's acting like a kid at Christmas time! 😆 Thank you for watching 🥰
Coldwater River is better to kayak or tube. The water is clearer with small pebbles at the bottom. Blackwater is dark, with sand, and seems to have more snakes. My Mom lived out in blackwater for years. Have you ever been to Cape San Blas or Apalachicola? Our favorite areas 🥰
Such an interesting and informative video my friend. Your roast looks so delicious. I’m with you can’t wait for the cooler weather to cook some hot comfort meals. Sending hugs…❤️💋
Yea, it's a No for us and Alligato-ry looking water, lol😂😂. The Sawmill area was pretty cool looking, and we love discovering 'old' things as well, beautiful park!😊
❤ Answer to moon cutout in door= To let the moon light in at night. You can see during the day, but traditionally, they didn't have working electricity, so a cutout in the door would let the user see. The moon shape is just stylized. That curly tree was amazing. It's so glorious how nature grows without human interruption/heals itself.
Another great video. Your dinner looks absolutely delicious. The over the fire cooking takes your meal to a whole new level. TEMU has gotten a lot of my money. I have purchased kitchen, fishing and clothing items. I am very pleased with everything. The only thing is that it takes a couple of weeks to get your order. Thanks for sharing
Did you hug the tree? Don't laugh at Phillip he didn't know the water was going to be like that. Poor Phillip no fish no snorkeling. You get what you want next time. Yes, I saw the little boy face on the door. I'm 73 and loving you guys videos.🙏🏿♥️
😂 Every video Phillip gets to do what he wants to do 😆 Yes I did! I meant to add it at the end and forgot! 🤦🏽♀️ I am so happy you are loving the videos. Thank you for watching 🥰
The stew looked delicious!!! I thought you were serving the whole campground, LOL! Great meal, I would have a piece of cornbread to sop up some of that gravey, delish!
I don't remember seeing them when I lived in Texas, but I probably wasn't paying attention. And I didn't spend as much time outside. Thank you and thanks for watching. 🥰
The crescent moon carved into the doors of outhouses is a feature with roots in American folklore, though the exact origin is somewhat debated. The moon was often used as a simple, recognizable symbol to designate the outhouse as the women’s restroom. Here’s some context and possible reasons: 1. Symbolism: The crescent moon has long been a symbol associated with femininity, partly due to its connection with lunar cycles and their association with women. In contrast, a sun or star symbol was sometimes used to designate the men’s outhouse. 2. Practicality: The moon (and sometimes a star) carved into the door also allowed light into the outhouse, which was essential since most were unlit. 3. Folklore: Over time, the moon symbol became associated with outhouses in general, even though many modern depictions suggest that both men’s and women’s outhouses had the moon symbol. This could be due to the simplicity and widespread recognition of the symbol. 4. Functionality: The cut-out shape, whether it was a moon, star, or other symbol, also provided ventilation, which was important in the confined space of an outhouse. The practice of carving symbols into outhouse doors likely arose out of a combination of necessity and symbolism, with the crescent moon becoming the most iconic representation.
Hi friend 👋🏽 Sorry you got bit up by the bugs. 🦟I like that park too. I liked all old stuff you discovered there. 🤩Another relaxing good time. Thank you. 👍🏽
Hey friend! 🤗 Gurl them bugs been loving me lately 😄I don't even bother putting on lotion anymore, so if my legs look like I've been kicking flour, that's why! 😆 And yes the old stuff was really neat. Thanks for watching friend. 🥰
Love bugs are mating when stuck together and separated during the day when landing on vegetation and come together for flight and night, after the female lays her eggs she dies afterwards
Hello my new friend thank you for sharing your wonderful video. Congratulations on your success just watching you and being so honest about everything made me subscribed to your channel. Good luck keep on growing. Stay safe and God bless everyone.🙏💕🌍
