Glad I watched this. Billy and Paul are so great together. Billy covers so much sonic space, there no need for a rhythm guitar player. Paul is brilliant as usual.
I now can't help but listen and see Beth and her musicians every day! She is truly the best there is these days.We have to know her life to understand and love her even beyond music.! With great love from Italy, from Rome!!!!😍😍😍😍
since I listen and see Beth I am crazy about her and her bands. She has it all, anger, pain, sensuality, sweetness, silences that speak. Oh I don't get tired every day of listening to her!!! Love from Italy , Roma!
I was there at this concert. I was concerned that Adam Lambert would try too hard to be like Freddie. I was surprised to see him honor Freddie and be his own self.
The band including Freddie Mercury's Phoenix Trust Fund Team chose Paul Rodgers as frontman from 2004 to 2008 and Adam Lambert from 2011 to present, both performed with their own voice and showmanship.
I don’t get it . Didn’t Michael give up all rights, royalties , etc to Phil Moog as a present, yet MSG’s whole set is mostly UFO songs . And did he switch back to Gibson guitars ? And what’s with the furry neck brace or neck warmer to match his furry helmet hat ?
Who is antiquated? Do you even know what the word means? Queen's music is timeless and will live forever. QAL brings attention of Queen's music to not only older Queen Fans but to a younger generation as well. Simple answer if you don't like don't watch.
@@sasha07775 If Brian and Roger are still Queen, please tell me one song after Freddie death !? A song equivalent of this name ? What happend with them , where are the great new hits? Like Freddie's ERA? The heart of this band died in 91. And, in my opinion, not only his heart ; could be much ,much more of that. Please watch "macking One Vision" and you will see the role of them. You'l see who is the King! Why John Deacon retired? His story ended with Freddie ! And Queen !!! They are a great musicians but without Freddie and John they never could be Queen. Only with the name of Queen.
Queen is Brian and Roger’s band. They founded and originated it. It belongs to only them and no one else. And most of the songs they perform in concert were written by Brian May. He was the more prolific songwriter and honestly wrote better lyrics.Btw, Freddie died in 1991, Deacon didn’t retire until 1997.
John Deacon retired from touring since 1997. After Freddie Mercury's death in 1991, Sir Brian May, Roger Taylor and Freddie Mercury's Phoenix Trust Fund Team chose Paul Rodgers as frontman from 2004 to 2008 and Adam Lambert from 2011 to present. In 2014, Freddie Mercury's mum voiced her wish that Adam Lambert be QUEEN's permanent frontman. Their life, their band, their music, their choice who fronts their band, their decision and no one else's.
Stop trolling, Brian and Roger are the two original members of Queen, and are entitled to use the name, they own the Band, why would they call themselves Smile? Now they are QAL Deal with it, go and troll somewhere else.
Many of us saw Queen with Freddie and no with Adam. We have more than entertained this: tonight. Adam’s vocals on Who want to live forever were superb. I have seen Queen with Freddie twice but this was a brilliant celebration of the best rock band ever’s music. As a huge Queen fan, huge Freddie Mercury fan and huge @adamlambert fan- Netflix doc, ‘The Show must Go On’ is a TREAT!! I don’t think theres a better singer than Adam Lambert around today.--Mia Farrow Seen both Queen with Freddie and Queen and You. Don’t let the haters pull you down. You are a front man and you do the songs proud and with your own style. Keep smashing it. (Following opening of millennium celebration) Joe Elliott (Def Leppard) Queen "For me the absolute highlight of last Saturdays show at the 3Arena in Dublin was Queen and Adam Lambert playing that song. (WWTLF) Unbelievable. The lights, the lasers, the sound, the performances of everybody on stage was absolutely top notch. If you haven't got a ticket yet, go see these guys. Legends of course we all know that. Adam Lambert will be the first to stand up and say he's no Fred, but my goodness one of the best live vocals I've ever heard. And Rick Savage who was sat next to me said exactly the same thing. Was Adam Lambert last week in Dublin." I saw #Queen with #FreddieMercury at The Spectrum in Philadelphia back in the summer of 1980...a show and memory I will never forget! Have to say tho, I was even more blown away with the #QAL #RhapsodyTour Show! Freddie would be proud of #AdamLambert , #BrianMay & #RogerTaylor!💗 I saw Freddie's Queen and I've seen Queen with @adamlambert . BOTH men are extraordinary, phenomenal, other-worldly vocalists and performers...in completely different ways. Those that hate on Adam because he isn't Freddie have clearly never seen him do what he does. I was lucky enough to see Freddie sing, was unsure as to what to expect, in short was blown away, fantastic gig & am sure Freddie would be proud to have you continue the Queen legacy, have fun tonight My first concert was Queen at Slane Castle in ‘86. Saw Queen with Adam Lambert last year. You are in for a treat, enjoy! Saw Queen with Freddie 1975 Christmas Eve, tonight with Adam Lambert. Both incredible shows fronted by incredible showmen. Messrs May and Taylor constants of course. @DrBrianMay @OfficialRMT @QueenWillRock @adamlambert wow!! That gig will live in my memory forever, I was at Knebworth in 1986, miss Freddie’s voice so much, so happy you guys found each other! Thank you! #matchmadeinheaven I was fortunate enough to see Queen with Freddie twice. I have never seen anyone play to an audience like him. He was never afraid to take chances. I got lucky, and saw Queen with Adam live recently, and my jaw dropped. What a killer show they put on. Go see it! I've been going to see Queen live since 1978 but @DrBrianMay, @adamlambert and @OfficialRMT last night in Glasgow was phenomenal. Thank you!!!!! Hey mate, the bloody game was called off! Anyway we moseyed on up the toon, I’m just in actually after a 12.30 start, great day out. Queen were terrific mate,m I’ve been lucky enough to see Freddie Mercury in the 8O’s and Adam Lambert to his credit was a great front man 30 years since I have seen Queen and this was just brilliant! @adamlambert Freddie would be so proud Having not seen Queen without Freddie until now - I’m so pleased that I saw them @TheO2 with Adam Lambert last evening. It was one of the most incredible shows I’ve seen. Adam Lambert doesn’t attempt to replace Freddie but pays great tribute to his memory - an honour You know you loty Queenies....we make people rich. Told my relatives not to expect any monies upon my death because I am throwing it all at Adam and Queen. Saw Freddie 5 times have to say this time around is twice the fun. Fellow Canadians at the bar who had seen Queen with Freddie have to admit Adam's range far surpasses Freddie's. Guy beside me had seen Freddie 3 times, Paul Rodgers 2 times. LOVED @adamlambert Lots of OMGs, phenomenal & wows. Told you, I said. I last saw Queen in 1986 at Wembley London, Freddy was awesome back then. I was happily surprised by Adam Lambert... boygeorgeofficial Went to see @adamlambert performing with #Queen in Sydney and it was fabulous. Adam’s voice is astounding and he does not need to apologize for not being Freddy Mercury. Adam brings his own flavor to those timeless songs and he is a wonderful artist in his own right. Loved the glittering 70s platforms. Brian singing ‘love of my life’ was beautiful. No need to apologize Brian you bring beauty and vulnerability to my fave Queen song! Roger on ‘It’s A Kind Of Magic’ was also full of feeling. Very Bowie-esque and I loved the drum solos and Brian’s axe lamenting. It was a night with everything. GO you will live for it! @adamlambert I saw queen 5 times 77-86. Saw u with the guys in 2014 and again on Wednesday in Sydney. U enhance their brilliance and it is just as enjoyable watching them now as it was with Freddie.credit to you. Haha my dad a massive Queen fan. My parents saw Freddie live. Yes Freddie not Freddy. Now considers @adamlambert as “Freddie’s heir apparent”. Was stunned by his performance. This is Adams legacy
As a huge Queen fan, I'd say take it for what it is. Adam Lambert is an amazing performer and is singing the songs that Freddie sung, with a similar passion. Not the same as Freddie obviously, but sadly he is gone, and this brings Queen music back to audiences both old and new. I firmly believe Freddie would give this his seal of approval.
Stop trolling they are a six man band but the main attraction is Adam his voice is unbelievable he is a true Rock Singer unlike your chum MM, Adam is in a totally different league and always will be.
@@imagine9265 I am far from clueless, Liberace my ass, yes he is gay but he is a MAN a MANLY MAN, he loves makeup and is a Fashion Icon he is Adam Lambert and can do what he bloody wants. Go and troll somewhere else.
No, everyone knows Adam and Queen now. They come to see him. I have watched countless concerts and been to some. I have never heard a crowd yelling for Freddie.
It's Roger and Brian who chose Adam to sing with them. They were the ones who encouraged him toward his costumes because from a child and through his years of theatre that was what he was. Freddie Mercury is been gone and there never will be another. However if Brian and Roger picked him to bring back those unforgettable songs you shouldn't criticize them
