Ben Harris & Co is a traditional boatbuilding company based in Gweek, Cornwall (UK).
These videos aim to give you insight into the goings-on in the workshop, located in Gweek Classic Boatyard, where Ben is working alongside his team of wooden boatbuilders and apprentices.
Currently, in-build at Ben Harris & Co Wooden Boats is a 34-foot gaff cutter based off the lines of a Falmouth Quay Punt called CONSTANCE. In addition to this new-build yacht which is due to launch in Spring 2022, Ben and his team are making wooden masts and spars, restoring motor yachts, classic sailing yachts and building traditional dinghies and yacht tenders.

This is a lovely boat. I remember Curlew from wintering at Manoel Island, Malta in 1969/70 on our old yacht Fairbright. Tim and Pauline were anchored off to keep costs down so we didn't see much of them.
Wonderful to see traditional wooden boat building still alive! I was brought up watching 'The Onedin line' series on tv & also knowing my great grandfather on my mother's side had served on the last of the Royal Navy sailing ships. We had his sea chest still, through my upbringing...
