It would be great to have a video or anything focusing on your new Trout Spey rods. I can’t find anything, anywhere showing spey line recommendations for Skagit or Scandi. Why not? Annoying, tbh.
This is a nice reel but the finish on mine is horrible. I bought a new fin euro kit and the die cast reel color can almost be rubbed off. This don’t happen to my other reels. Do I have a bad reel finish job or are all of them done this thin?
Ok, after buying this combo I have come to a conclusion. It is what it is. Budget ! The quality of the blank is good and responsive but the quality or finish of the reel seat and reel is not what you’d expect from Greys. I have bought combos before from Orvis and I didn’t have shabby finishes on the cork or the reels. It’ll get you started that’s for sure but don’t expect much for the price. Not really what I expected from greys honestly.
@@officialgreysfishing so far it’s been great caught my first trout on a fly rod with it and now I’m hooked so to speak. This rod/reel combo will forever hold a special memory for me.
Could you please expand on stripping the green off of the included line please. I bought one today and I really can’t see the line as an indicator. I have to tie another sighter to see it better. Thanks

Hi I just watched your video and have a question for you------I was given a Greys XF2 Streamflex 9 ft. 3 wt. fly rod for my retirement over 15 years ago. I broke the tip recently on a fishing trip---made me sick---I have been trying to find a company that will sell me a new tip with no success--do you have the name of a company that will sell me another tip section?----This is the best lightweight fly rod I've ever used and hate to lose it because of the break. Thanks for your help in this matter
Just bought the Aircurve in 3.25lb can you make videos with the mid range test curve rods , not everyone buys the biggest and strongest so think of the people who buy these type rods . This is far from me bashing these rods I just bought 2 and another is in the post its just most videos on you tube are big heavy tc rods hitting 200m but not everyone wants/cant cast that far due to health problems . I cant wait until tomorrow to wet my line and test my gorgeous rods hopefully with a carp on the end . Tight lines guys .
Hey Andrea! You can find all the details and specifications for all of our gear, including the Prodigy GT4 rod series - on our website through the link below: greysfishing.co.uk/products/prodigy-gt4-1409430
I'd prefer a review by someone who's used it vs someone who's trying to sell them. Of course it's a really, really good rod said the man trying to sell it. Undoubtedly, he'd say the same thing about every other rod they sell.
Thanks for the great video - could you explain what is meant by the newly included GRXi+ Saltwater models in the description on your homepage? Are those just the 9ft rods that go up to the 10-weight or do they differ in other specifications as well?
You cant go wrong with greys really. Have landed many 40s and over a dozen 50s on mine and have owned them for years now. Im sure these rods will be great and look forward to buying a set, although they wont replace the ones im using now as full timers.
