I've gotta give credit to the first pitcher. Three or four of those were borderline and could have gone either way. Not like others I've seen where the pitcher spikes it or it's just a bit outside.
This chant makes no sense when it begins after an INTENTIONAL walk. Isn’t this for people who have lost control? And also makes no sense when the pitcher has changed.
@@howardbaxter2514 It's called "College Station" for a reason. It used to be just a small college in the middle nowhere and the only way to get there was by train. If you're an Aggie you already know that. Gig em
Thanks. I built it by hand over a 3 month period with mostly just Elmers glue and some scrap paper and some help from 3 midgets & a very intelligent monkey.
the music they played was also great. First that sweet, relaxing Disney-sounding song when they made the pitching change, and then "Highway to the Danger Zone" for the reliever, so ironic and well done lol
Jesus Christ, I'm a baseball players and baseball is still slow as fuck to watch. Lol. I still love it. Great atmosphere, would've loved the chance to play a game there.
My brother played Shewmake in high school and Shewmakes team (Wylie East) and my brothers (Royse City) we’re both notorious in our area for shit talking that they would get warned by umpires before games about it. So I’m glad he went there cause I’m a fan and the atmosphere suits him well
No it is not. You might be thinking of pitching from the stretch. In the stretch the pitchers plant foot cannot disengage the rubber once he starts his delivery. However if he is pitching from the windup, as he is in the video, he has to move his pivot foot, in this case his left foot, in order to turn it parallel to the rubber. A pitcher can either have his foot directly in front of the rubber or on it so long as he is in contact with it
I'm not an aggie fan, but this is really a great chant. One of the greatest chants in sports easily. So savage without being crass. Its not offensive at all and still so savage. Mental aspect of pitching is so important and this simple chant absolutely can get into the head of a pitcher. Just awesome!
Tim Eubanks Couldn’t agree more. It’s so simple yet so effective. There is another video of this happening where the announcers get out of the way, to where you can immerse yourself, and it has to be super intimidating to pitch that way. I also like how at the end when the pitcher finally does get the strike they erupt into a cheer.
I'm certainly not familiar with many of these chants to get under the skin (in the head) of opposing players, but being from Nashville, my favorite thing is when visiting teams come to play the Predators (NHL), I think it's section 309 lets the goalie for the visiting team have it. They repeat the goalies' last name three times, then culminate it with "You Suck". They have other chants, but they're pretty ruthless. I moved away in 2018, but it often works.
