Love it. I'm from Saint John (live around the corner from reversing falls) and just got my full licence. Really looking forward to exploring the province myself on 2 wheels in the coming months!

Great video Rick and Annette. I'm sure this took a lot of editing. Good work. I recognize most of the areas of NS in your video as I have been there a few times. The LeBlanc Acadia area is very special. I was at the Daniel LeBlanc homestead area before 2004 so I have never seen the monumet. The last time I was in NS we were in the area of the reversing river. I recognized the area immediately and the direction of your travel also. There was a bunch of teenagers sliding in the mud and into the river when I was there. Fun.

Awesome adventure. I really enjoyed riding the Devil's Highway this last Earth Day (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OSl5AW6nVaU.html). Got to see so many different Arizona micro-climates on the way. Truly spectacular country.

You ended up travelling on some of the roads that have been favorites of mine for 4 decades, but you were so close to some other good ones that you didn't quite get to, such as the South Lavant Rd from 511 over to 509. The small community that you labelled as Tatlock in the video is actually Clayton - hopefully the residents won't be offended, because the community is on the Tatlock Rd after all. Some of those roads that you travelled used to be gravel, such as the Tatlock Rd, while others, such as 511 have greatly improved pavement over what they used to have. You missed stopping at the Calabogie Brewery for a cold one & a pack to take home. Just so you know, 40 years ago, the 511 was considered to be one of the best motorcycle roads in Ontario! My current 2004 Super Glide loves it. Thanks for the video & keep the shiny side up.

What was your route from Ottawa and how long did you ride between stops for the night , also did you go up the coast too or from Gaspe ? Thanks my first night stay from Northern Ontario is Pembroke Ont.
@touringonaharleywithrickan6693
We rode from Ottawa up to the Gaspe (overnight Levis because everything else was booked). From there south through New Brunswick to Nova Scotia and Cape Bretton. We traveled through 3 Atlantic provinces with Cabot Trail being just one leg of the trip.

Go to ridethehighlands.ca They send out free motorcycle maps which we used to plan our route. Amazingly, the map and info they sent out really is free and excellent resources!

Great video! Coming out that way in June 2023 any chance I might get a copy of your route? I'm just putting together my route via Google maps.
@touringonaharleywithrickan6693
We took 2 days but honestly could have done 3 days to get in the riding we wanted to do. Stayed in Charlottetown. Day 1 did the east side of the island following the coast around to East Point Lighthouse, Shipwreck Point Lighthouse and around St Peter's Bay, the PEI National Park and back to Charlottetown. We followed the smaller coastal roads as much as possible as long as they were paved and not deadends. Day 2 was North to Green Gables and then following the smaller roads right on the coast to North Point. It took a LOT longer than we expected and we kept an eye on the GPS to keep on contiguous roads (avoiding dead ends or gravel). Incredible ride. People told us we could ride PEI in 2-3 hours. Ignore that. To see all the lighthouses along the coastline and 'ride' the island, I recommend 3 days. Thanks for the compliment, really glad you enjoyed the video.

On our rides in the deserts last summer, it rained surprisingly often. I am terrified of flash flooding so mentally challenging for me.
