Hey Remenence, thankyou for the comment. There are so many ways this can be achieved. You can use approvals in flow for an out of the box approach for each person to complete and confirm. Or you can build a custom powerapp to handle Permissions and triggers for the users and their sections. Unfortunately we do not have this exact video I'm sorry.
i have a menu left like a component , then I did some screen . after that I created a button but when I run app the button doesn't appear , run edit yes , but not work.. I am a newbie sorry and my english is bad.. can you give me a advice or tips , thx in advance
Great video! Any idea on how to show the end of the previous month? I have a monthly flow that runs at the beginning of each month and I want to add the month-end of the previous month to the file name... thanks!
Hey MrTC, Apologies but we do not have a video for this and I have never built this. We have a video showing how to calculate the first business day of each month here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7NCNGHPHqXo.html You can possibly use some of the calculations in this video to achieve your flow.
Hey, thankyou for the comment and that is a great idea. I will add to my list to record a video setting up mfa and look to release in the future. Thankyou again for your suggestion
Thanks you so much for the in detail video. Currently I am using this to send out email confirmation to the user on successful submission of document. I have stored the user email in a variable (in powerapps) and will pass it To* filed of Outlook in automate flow.
Hi! is it possible to make a template with this custom desing? like make a component of a Form control, I need to replicate this but everytime I insert a form I just have to reapply all the customization. Is it possible? Thanks!
Heu Kimberley, thankyou for the comment. Unfortunately this is not possible and everytime you add a new form with new datacards you will need to configure the design :( If you use the new modern controls, this uses Microsofts latest design and will automatically stay up to date in the future.
Hey jefflen, yes if you upload your excel sheet into SharePoint and make sure it has all rows formatted as a table. Then you can use the "list rows in a table" excel step in the power automate flow and repeat the steps in the video
Thank you for your informative videos, which are very beneficial. I have a question! How do you collect fields before navigating to the screen in Powerapps, when using SharePoint as a source?
Hey razken, thankyou for the comment, to run code before the screens load, if you select App on the left navigation then use the apps "OnStart" property. Any code here will run when the app starts
@@WeTechCareOfYou Ha ha ha, it’s not just Teams! Every MS product is very frustrating and buggy to say the least! Microsoft thinks that Teams is popular because of how many people are using it, but this assumption couldn’t be further from the truth. 90% of these users are forced to use it as part of corporate package and they’re all cursing it. If you ask them individually who likes Teams, they’d tell you they hate it but they have to use it at work. No amount of AI and copilot versions will solve basic Microsoft issue - their UX is terrible, software works only under certain conditions and it’s very buggy. Forget about sharing files even internally, you always have to involve 10 people to make something work. Once you try anything else out there, all frustrations are gone… and peace enters…
What stack do you use that you think works well? I understand there can be certain frustrations however I do feel Microsoft products integrate really well when using the full suite. Also with Teams, because you can integrate so many apps it means you can complete a large portion of your day to day tasks/work within the Teams application. This makes things so much easier and faster.
Hey Jen, thankyou for the comment. Unfortunately we cannot add a date, so you would need to precalculate how long until that date with logic outside of the timer, then put that calculated amount into the duration of the timer
@@WeTechCareOfYou Thanks. This is also not working. I suspect it is because Created Date includes time (June 6, 2024 2:14 PM), and DatePicker1.SelectedDate does not (June 6, 2024). I have tried Sum(Filter('SharePoint list', Created > DatePicker1.SelectedDate, Created < DatePicker1.SelectedDate + 1), Qty) But that is not working either. As a reference, Sum(Filter('SharePoint list', Created > DatePicker1.SelectedDate), Qty) does work, but obviously sums everything after the date selected, not just for the date selected. And then Sum(Filter('SharePoint list', Created > DatePicker1.SelectedDate - 1), Qty) does not work. Must be something with the "- 1" ???
ok please try this: CountRows(Filter('SharePoint list', Text( DateValue( Created ), "dd/mm/yyyy") = Text( DateValue( DatePicker1.SelectedDate ), "dd/mm/yyyy"))) You can format the date using this: learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/power-fx/reference/function-datevalue-timevalue
@@WeTechCareOfYou Excellent!! Thanks, that is it! For reference, I needed Sum, not CountRows, so final is... Sum(Filter('SharePoint list', Text(DateValue(Created), "dd/mm/yyyy") = Text(DateValue(DatePicker1.SelectedDate), "dd/mm/yyyy")), Qty) Thanks again!!
Hey Learnpowerplatform, this ossue happened for me and did not show the navigation in the app bar when i enabled it the old way. If you emable it through viva as shown in the video it should show the navigation
Could you please make a video on updating connection reference of dataverse action in flow, I tried to update the connection reference of dataverse action in flow got "Executechangedactions.Run failed: { "code": "InvokerConnectionOverrideFailed", "message": "Failed to parse invoker connections from trigger 'manual' outputs. Exception: Could not find any valid connection for connection reference name 'shared_teams_1' in APIM header." }" error in power apps then I rolled it back to previous connection still getting same error.
Hey Laxmi, did you create the connection on the trigger or somebody else? Do you have permission to the trigger connection if somebody else created it?
@@WeTechCareOfYou yes it's trigger from a button in power apps that's call a flow, have read in community portals that removing then re-adding the flow will work, also I got one more question user for which I am updating connection references that user can't able to access power apps in teams, I have added the user as owner of the app and user is present in environment user in power app admin center, still can't able to see the power apps in teams
Ah yes ok hopefully you can fix that. When you deployed the app in the teams admin center for it to show on the teams panel, you can manage permissions here on who will receive the app into their Teams app
I got error stating "RetrievePrivilegeForUser: The user with id ****************** has not been assigned any roles. They need a role with the prvReadWorkflow privilege." Could you please what access is missing
Hey shubhamahire, thankyou for the comment. We have a video on how to transfer ownership of a Power Automate flow here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Wdyvkma-TWE.html
Hey, this is a really good and simple video. I managed to achieve something that others explain with too much detail. Yours went straight to the point and was easy and practical to apply to my project.🙂
Can't you just do something like: `addToTime(startOfMonth(utcNow()),if(equals(dayOfWeek(startOfMonth(utcNow())),0),1,if(equals(dayOfWeek(startOfMonth(utcNow())),6),2,0)),'Day')`? So this checks to see if the current day of the week is either Sunday (+1 days), or Saturday (+2 days), or any other day (+0 days) to calculate the first working day (Monday to Friday). Or are we looking at the first full working week?
Hey pw, thankyou for the comment. You approach might work well there are many way this can be achieved. Our approach will calculate first business day of the month, ie if the 1st is a sunday, our flow will show true on the monday 2nd.
@@WeTechCareOfYou Updated the calculation. This should calculate the first date for the current month. Obviously the utcNow() could be replaced with any valid date, a variable being the best idea.
Ah thankyou so much for the donation also! :D you are the very first person to donate to the channel, thats much appreciated thankyou. Happy our video helped!
@@WeTechCareOfYou you are soooo welcome, you’re doing great stuff love the quick solutions, I was honestly about to give up and throw my computer lol seriously thank you!
I've looked everywhere and tried every bloody thing I could think of to get this to work, never would have guessed without this video, thank you thank you thank you!
Hey, yes unfortunately we cannot put into video description but here it is: If(CountRows(Filter(Office365Groups.ListGroupMembers("d1907085-a441-44e1-b1ef-8aede34f4f7e").value, mail = User().Email)) <> 0, true, false)
I did this all, except my form had many more fields. The probelm is, the "Submit" button floats over the form, whereas I want it to stay at the bottom of the form. Any help you can provide on this?
Hey toffer, thanks for the comment and followling our tutorial. Yes we have other videos n building the list and the whole flow, you can see all videos of the series here: ru-vid.com/group/PLC3DYZ2umeViXn6X0tquD3p7QJ1r3yfG0
