Why is Robin even there?

McCartney often contradicts himself regarding to what extent he patched things up with Lennon before he died. He usually says that they had unresolved issues, and that usually their phone conversations would end with one of them hanging up on the other. He says they could only have fairly friendly conversations if they discussed trivialities.
