I really love your taste and style always so chic. My faves would be the kislux leather backpack and the Swarovski pave diamond ring so gorg. Thank you for your recommendations.
I need a jacket that's warm enough for UK and Scandinavian winters, looks fashionable enough and if I'm being totally honest one I can still move freely enough to have a fight in. Any suggestions welcome.
Anything's that's not Gore Tex? Not interested in rebuying sealant spray every year to keep it waterproof. Something buy once and 99.99% as waterproof as gore Tex without the constant need to buy for it again and again and again.
So glad someone actually added height and worn size. Been going through videos where people are just saying "I'm wearing a X size"...but they never mention their measurments and sometimes they're doing it from an office chair, making it even more impossible to estimate.
Why doesn't it have a draw cord at the hip or drop pockets? Weight for either of these ediions is small, both the Arc'teryx nuclei fl and older Rab Xenon jackets have these features and the new Mountain Equipment Oreus Hooded Jacket (could be warmer then DAS Light and have these featues too..........? For a climbing piece very odd. I will say still really like the DAS light just wish it had draw cord because at 320grams and that face fabic it's pretty damn good. Been out with it afew time and first impression very warm because of the blown sythnic insulation PlumaFill 65grams and i thinking the face fabric both in wind resistence, weather and trapping the warm air, much better then Patagonia's Micro Puff Hoody. Both the Arcteryx and Old Rab Xenon are closer to it weight .....ME is 100grams more. Under a shell guess is fine (less breathable) but with the better face fabic more often over as an outer layer. Guessing layering with alot under...like hardshell doesn't matter as much about the draw cord...Tom how did you find it? Side note got to look at Rab's new Rab's newest insulated jacket, the Cirrus Ultra 2024 super warm but heavier too, still a brave new world with these really new synthics to hit the market.
How durable is the face fabric exactly compared to other brands/models? Still deciding between this one and the Patagonia Down Sweater. I like the synthetic insulation is the sweat areas. W
Gortex has to have the right conditions how does something release moisture wen it's raining and hot is has to have the right conditions to work properly and a scam shops say to sell products
Hi, I looked at this jacket today in Cotswold Outdoor, very helpful staff. Just a bit disappointed that this jacket does not have a 2 way zip - does anyone know if there is a reason for this. I find double zips very useful in a lot ways, driving, sitting etc. Thanks
Hi @barbaramilligan4090, thanks for your question. Not all brands (and then not all of their models) will choose to use double zips, normally depending on the envisioned end use of the jacket (but not always!). For instance, the Beta AR is an all round mountain jacket, built for hostile weather and environments, so the chances are it will be on and under your harness before the day starts, and not being used as a belay jacket, so a bottom zip puller is probably deemed less necessary and a point of failure, as well as the increased effort needed to line up zippers every time it's donned with gloves on in winter etc. These factors probably led Arcteryx to decide it would be more of an inconvenience than a positive for users. It's not a mega long jacket so shouldn't impede walking either for most people. If however you are a fan of the bottom zip puller then I would suggest looking at the Mountain Equipment Lhotse, made from Goretex Pro like the Beta and stacked with features, including that 2 way zip! Cheers, Tom
Here in Switzerland, we have the most precipitation of all the countries in Europe, with the heaviest rainfall in autumn when the temperature drops to 0°C. So I need a warm and waterproof jacket when I go for walks with my dog. This jacket delivers on its promises. It's not cheap, but it's definitely worth it if you're often outside in rainy and cold conditions.

All “technical” jackets are rubbish. I’ve had a few; the taped seals fail and they don’t keep you dry for long. The water repellent coating wears off and you can forget about them being “breathable.” Gore Tex or any “tex” simile is a massive con. You either get wet from the rain or wet from sweat and condensation. And those nice little fleecy bits by the neck opening just wick the rain inside the jacket. If you really want to stay dry, get a jacket that is physically impermeable to water that has lots of vents. Wear wool underneath as that has natural anti bacterial properties and breathes unlike man made plastic fibres that stink in no time. Don’t get sucked into the marketing BS of these outdoor jackets, they are overhyped and not fit for purpose. Coming from someone who has hiked multiple entire days in jackets like these.
Hello! Could you please help me out with an advice? I will be traveling to Iceland this October and I really can’t figure out if it would be better to buy the Patagonia Torrentshell 3L to put over a medium layer or if maybe it would be better to buy the Patagonia Triolet jacket since it’s also waterproof and windproof and I could use it for future activities as well. Note: I have no gear so I can build my kit from the start
Hello. I use wear the Garmin Enduro 3. Is best Garmin Enduro 3 or Fenix 8? I can't speak and hear , because I am Deaf. Do I use Garmin Enduro 3? That's right? Please let me know. Kind regards Donatas
There are many bugs in the Fenix8.. Screen brightness in low light conditions makes my Fenix 8 51 Amoled completely UNUSABLE!!! Also the watch lags even in the watch face menu.. it’s a horrible experience, never had these issues with my Fenix7X or my EPIXPRO 51!!
