Learn how to make premium food, without a Restaurant Kitchen or a big budget. I won't focus on one genre of food, either. Come Join Me. I make cooking content on having high-quality food to eat while being on a very low budget, with limited work, in order to make it realistic to what most working families want. Most people buy convenience food because they feel they don't have enough time to cook. They sacrifice nutrition, and thus health. I'm disabled, so I fit into the little energy to cook, and I have almost no food budget to work with. So these are foods that I eat too, so again come join me as I cook.
Greetings from Russia man, nice to see a man cooking for him self. Especially if you are from USA... But I have to break it for you, what you cooked can't be called Beef Stroganoff. The classic recipe has the following ingredients: thin cuts(!) of Beef, sour cream, onions, salt and black pepper. That's it. Mushrooms are often added in to the dish because they really pair well, but there are none in the original recipe. With best regards, The German from Russia
Correct, and I covered that recipe over two years ago. This is for those who don't want to do as much work, and call the box mix from the store as beef stroganoff.
BASICALLY JUST WHITE SAUCE WITH 2 CHICKEN AND 2 BEEF CUBES SOME ONION SALT AND GARLIC SALT .i would use milk instead of water or hakf milk and half water.
Whiel yes you are correct about that, the goal of this recipe which believe it or not is not even mine, it was to be a recreation of KFC style gravy, and they do not use milk in theirs. Although you are very correct about the fact that it would probably taste better with some milk in it.
Dude, why don't you dissolve your sugar in the milk or the vinegar? By the time you have put all that mayo and your carrot and onion in, it is hard to get your sugar and liquids distributed evenly. I would add all the liquids and sugar first, plus salt and pepper. Then I would add the carrot and onion. Also, I think that 2=1/2 cups mayo is too much. Next time, find a bigger mixing bowl . . . it is too hard to mix it all up in a little bowl. Also, don't cook your pasta so far ahead . . . it turned into a solid lump, and some of it looked overcooked to me.
Actually, The pasta or macaroni is overcooked slightly on purpose, like 1 to 2 minutes. You would think 2 1/2 cups of mayonnaise is much, but it actually still feels dry even when mixed. Assembly in order, you can mix it that way, but I found, it wasn't needed. It dissolves fairly easy and remember to stir well. Sitting in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes ensure flavors settle and meld.
@@TheMunchingMushroomthat’s true for much older spoons. Back when they were real silver. Modern everyday metal utensils don’t seem to cause the issues older spoons once did.
Thank you for this. I made a ginger bug last year and wondered if you could ferment turmeric the same way. My ginger bug is still alive and well in the fridge. I add it to my switchel which I also add turmeric powder. I think using a turmeric bug would be better than powder, now to find some turmeric...
Yes, I also have posted 4 days for a Ginger Bug, then you can store it in the refrigerator as well. Just do not do initial fermentation in the same cupboard at the same time. Believe it or not they are not compatible until mature. I've never used powdered Ginger or Turmeric for these, maybe I will experiment, but I imagine as it's dried it has lost the natural yeasts. My local grocery stores have both Ginger and Turmeric roots. They look similar but I am thinking about planting some and experiment with growing it too
I used this recipe yesterday and it turned out ok, they weren’t quite as fluffy as I wanted but that was probably user error, also the wife said she’d like them a bit sweeter😊
You can adjust the sweetness level, also at the restaurant they are served with Cinnamon Honey Butter, that might be what she was looking for. Fluffiness is a trick to learn in time. Mine get better each time I make them. As far as the chicken pot pie recipe in the description, I think I was too tired the other night when I was updating things and oopsed. I will fix that today, thank you for the heads up.
You might try the breaded chicken patties, the convenience store near me sells them like a bigger chicken strip. The most asked for sauce is sweet and sour. Just an idea.
Thank You, It is a recipe passed down to me by my mom, but I expect years ago it was on a can of pumpkin. She didn't like cooking, but baking was her thing.
