I called the F8C from the beginning. Since it's no longer exclusive. I think it would be cool if they offered F8A upgrades to the $10k backers to make it exclusive again.
I took my loaner C1 (Zeus CL) out for the first time to do some PTU hauling and I was not disappointed in its capabilities and usefulness. The remote tractor proved useful in loading up cargo in excess of 96SCU that weren't 32 boxes, having to seal myself in with nothing but 8scu crates. Very helpful!
@@billionaireninjas 1.)You can purchase the best in show version on the Best in Show day of IAE. 2.) You will get a skin if you purchase the ship prior to Best in show day of IAE (a purchase between the first wave of paint releases and the second wave counts). 3.) You can also purchase a CCU that includes the BIS paint on Best in Show day during IAE and apply it anytime later on (even after IAE). As long its BIS paint in the thumbnail it will count. I applied a 2951 MPUV BIS last IAE and it worked. I also have a 600i with 3 BIS paints (MSR, C2, 600i) and jackets by CCU chaining.
Since, for the first time in years, I have _zero_ ships in my permanent fleet, I went with the one I want to see more of in the 'verse. I have an A1 and an E1 but have paused that CCU chain on the C1 because I don't need two A1s. So, I'm getting a C1 paint that I'll probably never use (I already have the three OC Paints and nothing tops the Olympia in my book). But I want to see more Turtles out in the 'verse. It's a fun little ship. It is way, way, waaaay overpriced for what it does now, but its pricetag says that scanning should be frakking epic when it's out. There's only $30 between the Terrapin and the Mercury. For the final round, I think it's going to be close no matter what. The C1, Reclaimer, and F8C have all been pulling about 18-19k votes in every round. But the C1 has been getting more votes with every round. Honestly, now that the Terrapin is out, I'm gunning for the Reclaimer. It's the "most expensive" ship, but you can CCU to it. And it's not a variant. I'm not a fan of the F8C's pricing, even if I agree with it because I think it should be a rare ship in the 'verse. But if I want to have a stupidly expensive fighter, that's what my Glaive CCU is for. I'd just have to give up my STV. I'm looking at my CCU chains, and in my long-term Galaxy chain, a Terrapin would fit. So I'll buy the BIS CCU at IAE. And I totally agree with the F8C being a bit of a meme ship, you can't CCU _up_ to it, once you have it, you can't CCU up to anything else. Did they really sell 19 _thousand_ $300 single-seat fighters?
We were just chatting about that today in the Yacht Club Discord. With the Final Four totaled up now the BIS Pack is $1045 Standard and would qualify for LTI for the pack.
I went with the Syulen just because I think it should be the more commonly seen ship in the 'verse, but also because, it's a starter ship you can CCU to. I'm guessing that the 19Kish players voting for the F8C are probably _all_ of the F8C owners.
This is the first time in years where I have zero of the Final Four. I'll be getting the C1 BIS Paint, but it's only because I have a C1 as part of an E1 CCU chain. Once the E1 is out, I'll apply the others and that's it. The other three are ships that I'll never have. But I love that the Terrapin is getting its first Paint ever. And the Reclaimer is my favourite multi-crew ship. So, I'm overall happy with these results.
I have a golden ticket but not the F8C and it is available for me to buy it. I just won't buy it without LTI. What does the winner get? also, do we get the skins if we have the ships in our hangars by iae?
I dont own a terrapin nor have I been in it. I also havent seen a terrapin being used. So I think the C1 is my vote purely because it is being used fairly often.
Not quite looking forward to the new cargo, but I get it's needed. I just wish that the Carrack was optimized for the new cargo. That being said, I've often wondered, if you were doing Hull E runs, if you could park your Hull E for offloading, and if you stored another ship (IE a vulture) on one of the pads, if you could do a cargo run, while your ship is being offloaded and loaded, earn some money in salvage.
