We have no shortage of goal scorers. We haven't had any possession yet. That's where the problem is so far. We are starting with 6 new players. It will take a little longer.
Need to be careful on this one - Southampton will fancy it and they need a win. We need to ensure we don’t lose, that’s the priority. Obviously three points would be good !
Avoiding defeat - and therefore taking points off a likely competitor at their place at the end of the season to avoid the drop - would be a decent result.
Confused by Phil saying we played 3-5-2 at Wimbledon - we started Johnson and Ogbene down the right, and Chappers played at 10? Also don't understand how anyone can say we 'missed Cajuste' on Saturday. He's played less than two games in a Town shirt, we don't know what he's offering.
In regard to American Express, they've been 1 of the biggest employers in Brighton for 40+ years (UK HQ). It's also called the Community stadium, as they do loads in the local area and the ground is used for other events. Take into account that Brighton had been broke & homeless for 14 years, they were hardly chasing the corporate $$; more of a necessity with finance. As for the noise/chants/atmosphere; the 14 homeless years lost a generation of support and older fans went too. Went from 6500 at the Withdean to 30,000 in the Amex, new supporters who didn't have the singing culture. The hard core 3,000 who go away make lots of noise (as you'll see) but they're spread about the ground at home. The atmosphere is usually like that, except for Chelsea now & Palace. Can't rely on your keeper every week to save you though...and Tim Philips isn't Goldstone Ghost
Just for the record, American Express doesn't own the Amex, it sponsors it. They are the biggest employers in Brighton. Surely you would want the biggest employers in Ipswich to play a major part of Ipswich town fc (if they don't already?)
@@andrewjones-qi3ds oh I’m with you Andrew tbh the financial rules as they are now is never turn down any incoming investment but that’s me and I’m probably in a minority tbh ( guv one on the left as you look at the screen 🤣👍🏻)
We're not going to get too many chances. Therefore, the ones we get must be taken. IMO It's still a concern that we are not creating enough to score the goals that will keep us up. MUST FIND 3 POINTS FAST.
Lifelong Town Fan who stood on the terraces of Wembley in 78 as a 11 year old. Viewed live from Destin, Fl today as was so proud of our club. To be performing this well, especially defensively, so early in the season leaves me with an overwhelming feeling of confidence and excited anticipation of taking our first scalp as well as many more this season.
