There is a official catch report of Hawaii shoreline species caught by millions of lbs of each species pre-1956… I could not get a copy , by was there a Hawaii fish council meeting …many years ago..
After World war 2 , the shoreline fishing was open to everyone..by 1956 Hawaii fish division realize the decline of shoreline fishes and decided to add outside species ( Government of Hawaii approved this)… Over a dozen pacific fishes were introduced…only the Toau, Taape and Roi survived..today consider “invasive”.. Thank you Hawaii government officials you always make things worst…lol!
Many years ago we use to eat the Roi…Was. consider one of the best tasting shoreline fishes to eat so “tasty “! Today the ciquatera force us not eat it anymore!
Thanks for the great video! I might have missed it, but what weight and color of flashers are you recommending: 1oz, 2oz or 3oz and: silver, gold, etc.?
Those are water called spiny lobsters and usually found off of Florida but mostly in the Bahamas. When I was young, I had a friend with a 42 foot Morgan sailboat and we would go out for two weeks and dive down get fresh lobsters. Bring them up and I would cook them right on the boat! Oh, the fun times we had🎉❤
Happy New Year to you. That must be frustrating having equipments issues while filming. I am sure there is enough work for you editing etc without that added headache 🤙🏼
appreciate it braddah! Sash is super clean, way better than any of the jacks.. well Yellow Dot and Paopao would comepte for me haha, im surprised Maui doesnt have em. You figure its all the same waters
this video im using a KAP 100 the entire time. Depending the grounds and fish targeting ill go back and forth with a KAP 100 and Hatch Rhino 115. Also got a KCS 130 with slip tip and KAP 140 with slip tip.
I'm planning on snipping gold in 10-12 ft of water in a river using an airbuddy system. I'm getting a 7mm suit so I don't freeze to death. Is just a couple kilos enough to keep me down? Keep in mind I can stand in most situations.
