I was privileged to watch the Thunderbirds perform their routine in the F-100. It was 1954 at the Philadelphia International Air Show. I also got to go on the USS Ticonderoga aircraft carrier moored near the airport in the Delaware River. What a treat for a six year old. That is an awesome model and some great flying, thanks for the memories.
Elad, I've watched multiple vids of you flying the CARF Rebel MAX and I'm loving that jet.....just so well controlled and precise. Perfect jet for pattern. BTW....what turbine do you have in it?
So, I'm back @Elad Fish. My Max is almost complete. Where did you put your CG when it's all said and done. CARF says back of the wing tube but some say 10mm behind that. What you do with your Max is the type of flying I do. Low and precise. Thanks
One other set of questions (sorry man): Are you still using the MKS 9930's all around including the nose gear? Where did you get your amp connectors and will you come over and wire mine up?
Yes. for this one 9930 all around including the nose gear.. but you can get away with a 1220 on the nose gear if you like to save $$. Amp connectors from Aeropanda. what time should I be there?
@@EladFish HAHA! You're awesome, sir. Thanks for the info. The Max gets here next week. I'll order the connectors right away. We'll have dinner on the table for you over in College Station, TX.
Can you tell me what tank holder that is? I just bought this exact jet but I don't think it's the same fuel tank mount. Do you really use 6L with the 210? Thanks!
Main 6 L tank holder? It came with the kit. If you didn't get yours, try contacting one of the reps and ask. The 6L is a lot... will allow you to fly 10+ minutes.
@@EladFish Thanks. It appears that the current ones (mine will be here next week) come with only 5L and just have some wooden brackets now. This is why I asked about your setup. Do you still like the 210 in it? I'm thinking the 235 as I've heard the 260 is too much.
@@samiam5697 You are right. it's actually 5L. The Jets munt 210 is the perfect choice for this plane. I wouldn't go with a stronger turbine. This plane will take off on 1/2 throttle and will even fly great with a 180. The Jets munt turbines are lighter than others. (check actual weight)
