They have the parts played by Wayne and Montgomery backwards. Montgomery had more than just general navy experience. He actually was skipper on a PT boat in WW II. Funny, they thought the movie should have gone into what motivated the men more. The men were all motivated by the same thing, their country was at war.
My favorite scene by an actress, though there many is the scene in the movie Cat on a hot tin roof, when the charter of Big Momma, played by Judith Anderson. She gave great performance, while big daddy's birthday cake and said to him you never believed i loved you. Excellent.
I think that Jack loves Diana Muldaur when they played together because in the episode Slow boat to madness he made a mistake. His girlfriend (played by Diana) was very ill. he comes to her standing on her bed and said some lovely words to her. On the end he said: Your are very special for me Diana. But Diana's name in Quincy was Dr Janet Cotrell.
One of my very first memories as a child was watching the fight between Steve Austin and Bigfoot, my Mom and Dad in the living room in front of our old color tv, Its still so vivid like it was yesterday. Great times
While Perlman was vacationing in Puerto Rico, I met Mr Perlman. He’s a real gentleman. Not like those other Hollywood celebrities. I live in Puerto Rico and have met, briefly Clint Eastwood (We shared a beer) Steve Martin (He shouldn’t be allowed out) Johnny Depp,m (Extremely polite) Madonna (The primadona)Ashton Kutcher (ok) Bruce Willis (very emotional and hilarious), Sylvester Stalone (Perpetually on a bad day)…. Perlman Eastwood and Depp were the best
This dude was badass in the best sense, a terrific, hard boiled actor with charm, no less, did his own stunts, had an incredibly colorful life. Gone too soon? Man, why would anyone say that? He lived life fully to 84. A hell of a ride, I'd say.
My dad worked on this film as the construction coordinator, building the PTB base on Key Biscayne. Early on, You have the Dukes and Montgomery's rolls reversed. (Which you later correct). Montgomery was Lt. Brickley and Wayne was Rusty Ryan The light house seen at the end is the historic Cape Florida Lighthouse, site of the Seminole Indian attack in 1836. Dad also held the construction coordinator position on 1963's PT 109 filmed in the Florida Key's.
I always thought the Mertzes were funnier than the Ricardos. I can't believe it's been 45 years since her passing, I still recall that day very well and feeling sad.
