If you watch enough videos on what to do while hydroplaning you will hear different people tell you to do EVERYTHING possible, contradicting what other people say to do... really pisses me off. But this video takes the cake, these bozos made a 5 minute video telling you that if you start hydroplaning just hope the direction it's in is a good one to crash in... WTF?
This helps a lot I don’t normally drive at night. I’m a new driver I always drive during the day. I had a situation just a minute ago where I almost had an accident with a pedestrian thankfully we are both okay. But I am so shaken up I wish I watched this beforehand. Also for pedestrians PLEASE WEAR REFLECTIVE GEAR SO CARS ARE AWARE OF YOU. The pedestrian wasn’t wearing any reflective gear If he was I would’ve seen him and I would’ve stopped.
They keep saying When you begin to hydroplane to steer in the direction youre spinning at well id love to do that but the Semi truck on the oncoming lane of a double yellow probably wont be very understanding of my situation and run me tf over into oblivion so yeahh im counter steeringgg and breaking if i have to
driving suddenly is dicier the field of vision is less you cant percieve dips and rises as well you can only see as far as your headlight shines that makes it harder to see pedestrians cyclists animals obstacles in the road
Yea well i just lost control of a front wheel minivan on the highway and gas not break helped it just had to watch cars coming at me from my passenger side thank god by letting it coast i could pull it out
I was making a left onto a highway ramp. It was raining and the car I was in was a 97 thunderbird. RWD no LSD or traction control. I hit streak of water that I lost traction and ass of the car kicked out super hard to the right. Litterally went full fast and furious and just accelerated against and and straigten out. Was scary but most bad ass thing that I did in a car.
I live in Central Pennsylvania . These friggin rednecks drive with their high beams on all the time , without ever turning them off . Their so spiteful that if your not speeding crazy at above 40 at night They get behind you , tailgate you , and bright you up to bust balls . I hate these people over here .
Don't drive when you're depressed? Really? You're telling people they can't drive if they have a mental illness. I get if it's something like epilepsy, which I have. But telling people not to drive if they're depressed, is not the way to do it. And it isn't about "controlling" emotions. We can't physically do that. It's about managing and expressing them in a healthy and appropriate way.
i love night drives but i sped through a stop sign by accident bc i couldn’t see how far i was. it was an open country road and that shit straight up spooked me… so i ain’t doing the country again. or anywhere without street lights.
In my experience, hydroplaning is dealt with as follows- Men: Tell your passengers "we just hydroplaned" as you effortlessly regain traction and control Women: Scream and take both hands off the wheel to shield your eyes from the inevitable impact
Thanks this helped! God bless you:) Jesus Christ loves you, He is God and He came and died on a cross for all Mankind and by his own power was raised from the dead 3 days later so that Anyone who repents of their sins and accepts Jesus as their Lord and Savior can be forgiven of their sins and be saved from hell.
I hydroplaned in my manual g35 today. Car had traction on. Spun 3 lanes accords the highway and somehow me and the car were unscathed. Humbling experience. Alhamdulillah safe

you all are noobs you can accelerate and decelerate fast and you are very short. I do it in a semi truck every day and I'm 73 feet long and can't accelerate or decelerate very fast at all and still manage to do it just fine everyday. It's not hard people just don't pay attention and people are dumb.
The only real dangers of night driving are the idiots who drive with no headlights and the drunks. Night driving is really no different than day driving, at least on highways or main city roads. Just use your mirrors like you normally would. Now, if you're driving on a long stretch of country road where there is really no street lights and lots of twists/turns then I could see that being a bit dangerous at night.
I believe recent videos have said you can try to start receiver car right away with donor engine shut off, since it is now a complete circuit with donor battery, but it is better to put a little charge in receiver battery first, and this is necessary if battery is too dead, so you run donor engine for a few minutes to re-charge the dead battery and then shut off donor engine before trying to start receiving engine - never have both engines running simultaneously. I will stick with only one engine running at a time.
Those first few moments of heavy rain is when everyone in NJ driving a prius, corolla, and altima decide to do 110mph and challenge all of earth and its inhabitants abilities. This includes snowstorms.
