This song has so many feelings for people....this reminds me if growing up on our farm....a fresh snow in the autumn-fall time feeding our cows n horses...coming in from our morning chores then eating breakfast with mom n dad......listening to the radio after breakfast as dad would lay our chores out for the week.....
I lost my wife of 7 years recently. She was the only definition of love I have ever experienced. Now, I am not a man who wears his heart on his sleeve. My upbringing, my morals and ethics... if anything should be, and indeed is, the contrary of impulsive behaviour. I am used to doing, what is expected, what norms and ethics demand of me. And my life is ash. Every single thinng i liked doing, or appreciated is ash. Arts, crafts, philosphy, games, drinking, friends, everything. Means nothing. I bought a book right after her death. I usually take 6 hours reading a book. I am halfway through, dont remember anything but snippets and its two and a half years later. Peterson tells us, "They wont undestand". But I will make sure they undestand. Partly if not fully. If they do not undestand fully, Its likely because they never loved like I did. If they do undestand... I actually pity them. Regardless. I am a dead man walking. I smile. I chuckle. I talk. But its all a front. All I want is that urn, one foot away from my wife. Thats all I want. Its more than anything I ever wanted in my life. I have never ever struggled as much as I have, trying to staying alive.
