I doubt the experts on this one. They were the same guys that originally said the ZR1 was expected to get around 800 hp. When it reached production, it had 1,000 hp. I expect the Zora to feature hypercar beating numbers in terms of horsepower, so that’s probably 500 hp squeezed out of the electric motors plus maybe an hp bump for the engine
I doubt it. The Mustang GTD was basically designed as a Ford Mustang GT3, but street legal. The Zora is not closely related to the Z06 GT3 at all, and the inclusion of a 1,000 hp engine and electric motor proves that
I pray that one day the V10 returns, but i guess till the turn of the decade we must first pray that IC engines dont really get outlawed and the alternative fuels get mileage. With the death of the 5.2 FSI, theres no V10 car currently being produced, albeit theres 2 hypercar projects to be properly produced using the platform (Pambuffetti PJ01 and the bertone GB110) and theres a supposedly Russian project from the former Marussia that said they would make a judd derived car, but theres not much concrete on it yet. Its a shame the RB17 ended up being a track only car, its an amazing machine but not being road legal is not the same.
Yeah man, the V10 is really something special. It’s a shame the VW Group ditched that engine, but I guess that’s just the reality we’re living in. All we can do now is dream.
@@AkhiDrive yeah, they basically ditched all the unique engines they had and the only one with something equivalent unique was buggatti bringing the V16 back from its grave, bentley didnt even get V12s, its all V8s now, even if the new lambo V8 is a cool one, that would had fit better on an Audi supercar or something while lambo kept the V10 just going hybrid.
I'm surprised you didn't mention Procar's V10 swapped E46 M3. The engine is converted to dry-sump oiling system and it has the E92 M3's DCT gearbox. Autotopnl drove it on the autobahn upto +300kmh and Misha Charoudin drove it around the Nurburgring.
There is also a v10 swapped E39 M5 here on youtube, that one should have been on this list. Also, the most powerful BMW v12 is the S70/2 that is used in the McLaren F1. Thanks for the video!
I mesn you can count all the diferent types of road car V10s produced in the world on both of your hands (if you consider the 5 or so viper generations of V10s as one) and the LFA and Carrera GT are the top 2 on their sound.
its widely regarded as a horrible raspy sounding v10. wtf are you on about.. its literally always commented that the v10 sounds shit. Are you actually a car enthusiast??
@@poependeoma_4 e31 and 39 are some of the greatest cars and my favs. Im not a fan of one over the other. i like some makes from variouse german cars. Im just saying the v10 in the bmw m5/m6 didnt sound very musical and didnt have a great tone. there are literally exuast shops with videos discussing how to imrove the shit sound and why it doesnt sound like the 5ltr lambo v10
Nah man you tripping 😂. There is no way you said that. Most enthusiasts I know absolutely love the S85 V10. Just watch any video about the E60 M5, and you’ll hear people praise how it sounds. If you personally don’t like it, that’s fair, but saying enthusiasts hate it is just not true.
@@huyahai mostly heard its remarkably unreliable even for a sportscar engine because BMWs do that, but never heard anyone say it sounds bad. Its not LFA or Carrera GT because those are literally the top 2, but its nowhere near bad, its still a V10 that BMW based on their actually (albeit shortlived) F1 racing program on the mid 2000s. With how rare V10s are in the first place and only really shines during this period thanks mostly to their presence in F1 from the 90s to mid 2000s, the S85 being one of the only 3 sportscar desicated V10s that saw larger production its worth all the praise a V10 should get.
@@unkindled6410 really I’ve heard heaps of owners complaining that the sound is sub optimal and to raspy. And many exhaust solutions have been tried with no real improvement until recently with FMU Exhuast shop nailing it. There gallardo v10 exhaust is also the best sounding. Go to watch there vid on the BMW v10
Sorry but where do these prices come from? Are the windows made of saffire? Are the seats gold plated? I get it, engineering, materials, hand made parts are expensive......but they not that expensive! I mean Tuthills 911K is what.......$1.1mil?? Its possibly the best car experience you can buy but even that you KNOW they making at least 500k profit if not alot more!
Yeah, I think it's all about exclusivity. Like the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail, or whatever it's called. It was around $30 million, but let's be real, it's not worth every penny in terms of what you get. What you're really paying for is the exclusivity.
@@ShonnDaylee no wrong, im from germany everyone here knows who alois ruf is , can you pronounce it in german?? i dont think so! the same with "porsch" no its porsche!
The instructions is not united and being tricky.... I want nothing from the church. My idea will work with any group wanting leads and date on people. I pivoted.
I was talking about the currency on its own and just adjusted for inflation. Real estate value appreciates much much faster than the currency itself. I didn’t get the point of your question. You are comparing real estate value with currency value which inflates every single year.
@@AkhiDrive people quote money inflation figures of things that give a false indication of real value, if you aren't sure of my context then check how much the same Porsche is worth at auction these days, 'cause it is also a lot more than $35k. And $2,995 for a car was an eye watering amount of money back then, hence why only seriously rich people could afford them
@@arrogance8478 First of all where did you hear me say that the exact same Porsche is worth $35k now? I was just adjusting the original price that Porsche set for the car back then to today's money. Sure, $3k was a lot of money at the time, considering the average salary was between $3k and $4k, of course not every single person could afford that, but that price more than reasonable. But where did I get the $35k figure then? From Google. There's something called an inflation calculator, which I used to get the approximate value. I never said that the same Porsche is worth $35k at an auction today. Obviously, a retro Porsche would be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars now. If we follow the same logic, the most expensive Mercedes ever sold went for $142 million. Do you think that car was really worth that much back then?
The GT one is PURE PERFECTION! If only I had the money I’d order one in Satin Black or Gray with flat/glossy accents. The one thing I’d have them add is a large Top Furl style Screw Blower that sits a little above the roof line🤘🏽
well.... the original gt1 only had the front and rear headlamps from the production car! the front chassis was "derived from the 911 " chassis but not the same. (wikipedia) must be using the front chassis at least I guess!
The vehicle is already sold out, so everything else is just car enthusiasts discussing things beyond their control. It's a healthy conversation, no doubt, but the LaF replacement won't be influenced by the information we're talking about.
