TVS - Television South Television South (TVS) was the ITV franchise holder in the south and south east of England between 1 January 1982 at 9.30am and the night of 31 December 1992 at midnight. The company operated under various names, initially as Television South plc and then following reorganisation in 1989 as TVS Entertainment plc, with its UK broadcasting arm referred to as TVS Television plc. This channel shows some of the shows made by TVS.
The Mayor is played by James (Jimmy) Cossins, a very fine comic actor. Among many other roles, he once appeared on _Fawlty Towers_ as Mr Walt, one of two guests that Basil mistook for hotel inspectors. At 17:23 he does his line "I beg your pardon?" with the same tone he used for the same line in that episode 😂😂
_Go Getters_ ran for four series between 1989 and 1996. The fourth series was to have been shown on CITV in 1994, but participant Craig Charles' court case meant the series was dropped; it was eventually shown in some ITV regions in 1996 - in the Anglia, Meridian, HTV West, Granada and Yorkshire regions according to the UKGameshows website. So this series, the third, was the last to be screened across the entire ITV network.
Who owns the right to TVS's archive? I know it's not ITV Studios or Fremantle (who took over the Thames Television archive), but I've never known who has their hands on TVS's output now. Anyone know?
Thanks for uploading this :) I remember it from when I was 4, and liking it at the time, I don't remember much about it though, though a few scenes do stick out, and obviously, I remembered it being like Mary Poppins without the songs, and with Catriona being sweeter than MP

At the time I was too young to realise who Stanley Baxter was, great show and yes still say Mr Majeka whenever someones hair is sticking up! but has to be around people of my vintage (late 40s) to understand what I mean.
