This is the story of three friends who grew old together, raising families and living life. Not Done Yet Adventures is a second wind for old friends running from Father Time. Join us for some UTV/ATV adventures, outdoor activities, and a little humor.
PS: Sometimes we even bring our wives along on these adventures. Enjoy
Great choice! May we also suggest Plexus Plastic Cleaner, Protectant and Polish for your rear windshield. Plexus works great to help keep it looking clear.
Hi, thanks for the content definitely enjoy it. I see one of your riders has a large Ohio license plate in this video. I have tried to get a plate recently but was told it was not legal. Do you know how he got this plate ? I believe it was the 4 seat rzr.
In a nut shell, your sxs must be registered as a utility vehicle. Look at your title first. If it identifies your sxs as an ATV, you must retitle it to a utility vehicle. That generally means you use the vehicle to haul mulch, yard waste, etc. Those cities in Ohio that permit the usage of utility vehicles and slow moving vehicles (golf carts) on their roads should also perform inspections of those vehicles to make sure the sxs has lights, turn signals, horn, lic. plates light, wiper, windshield. That inspection sheet then can be taken to the title office for the purpose of getting a new title. It's much easier to register a sxs that has a dump bed. Registering a four seater may not be an easy task as it really depends on the officer's viewpoint or PD policy when inspecting the sxs. Some are more lenient than others in terms of interpretation of what a utility vehicle is. Ohio Revised Code 4505.01 (VV) "Utility vehicle" means a self-propelled vehicle designed with a bed, principally for the purpose of transporting material or cargo in connection with construction, agricultural, forestry, grounds maintenance, lawn and garden, materials handling, or similar activities. Also remember, just because you're successful in obtaining a lic. plate doesn't mean you have the right to drive your sxs across the state. You can only operate it in those jurisdictions that have ordinances permitting the use of slow moving or utility vehicles. Further, each city's ordinance dictates which roads in their city can be used. For additional information refer to Ohio Revised Code 4511.214, then search your city ordinances to see if they allow it.
@@notdoneyetadventures492 thank you for the information, I have an rmax4 1000 so it has a small bed but I will move the seat forward to make it seem more useful as a utility vehicle.
I know this is about 2 years ago but do you remember about where that play area was? My club is making a trip up this summer and would love to know where to find it.
We used Gaia GPS for this trip. Here's a link to the track: www.gaiagps.com/map/?loc=12.2/-71.3781/45.1115&pubLink=FffDoDtVehHitvdozxNBaffs&trackId=47e8e4834ec591e4e38eccfd3fd9d426 Here's the coordinates if that helps: 45.10617, -71.32289
@darrylhoupt3763 it was the trip of a lifetime for sure. I'm not sure I would do it solo. Just because everything is pretty remote and we didn't run into a whole lot of other riders along the way, and Cell Signal is not great out on the trails so if you break down or have an emergency you may be out there a while before someone found you.
I've really enjoyed this series on your trip to Newfoundland.(Understand Newfoundland) I'm from there but live elsewhere now. I can tell that you guys really enjoyed your trip also and that's a testament to the beautiful people of my home province. I hope you go back again someday to take in more that the Rock has to offer. Thanks for posting!!
@@brysenlamb9316 www.ruggedradios.com/products/rugged-gmr25-mobile-gmrs-radio-radio-only We really like the Rugged radios we use. We'd originally purchased extended power speakers and mounted them behind us on the cage but found we really didn't need them; the radio is loud enough without them. We also ordered the stubby antennas. Those are a must when considering the trails we ride on. Range doesn't appear to be a problem at all.
I think it really just depends on who's doing the inspection if you'd want to put license plates on the machine. Our traffic code stipulates turn signals must be present on a motor vehicle visible to the front and to the rear. It does not say where in particular they are to be mounted. I suppose you should check your state's administrative code. We got our windshields from: www.alphawindshields.com/shop/p/new-2021-yamaha-wolverine-rmax-1000 The manufacturer uses Yamaha specific clamps, which makes it easy to remove and replace when needed. The only thing we don't like about the windshield is the wiper arms that come as an option. You really need straight arms; the curved arms don't fit above the windshield well when you don't need them. Most auto parts stores should be able to help out with that.
Thanks @ghyslev!!! We left Ohio on 8/4/2023, returned home 8/16. We were actually on "The Rock" from 8/7/23 to 8/14/23. Thank you so much for watching!!! Stay tuned for the announcement of the 2024 trip
I am new to your channel and thought I would be watching you a lot but when I hear you bring up your politics I dont want that out of the channels I watch so I am unsubscribing .
We're sorry to have offended you. That, certainly was not our intention. If you've watched some of our videos, you'll note we poke fun at just about everything. Our goal is be informative and entertaining.
Had trouble with the right rear axle prior to the spring kit, just a clicking in the rear. Did a little research and found it was a known problem with the rear axles on the Rmax - Yamaha replaced both rears. No issues after the new axles, and I have also added 32 Sedona Rockabillies. I will do another review once I get more time on the tire and spring kit setup. Thanks for watching.
Great video guys. You said that the lady at the parking lot said you were there during their 3 busiest weeks. What weeks was that? I'm planning on going and might want to try a different time. Thanks for posting I'll be watching the rest of the videos too. If you haven't been told Understand -Newfoundland
Good vid! Always wanted to see that trip without snow. We covered that same trip up and back on sleds in one day, what a blast. Fondest memories made with family and friends.
There ain't anything like it. We just up it to a wolverine X2 1000. Working on some rear storage. Heading to WV end of April. Getting closer to retirement.
We hit WV in the fall generally, we love to be there when the leaves are changing. Maybe one of these days we will catch up with you on a trail somewhere!!
Yes mud busters both inner and outer. But what i ordered the very first day i had it along with those was seat belt harnesses to get rid of that unbelievably thick and low mounted inner buckle that left my leg bruised and sore for a week after only one hour of riding dirt roads. Yes front and rear windows, flip UP not down on the front and EMP on the rear they are the best IMO and they are the only plastic one that doesn't come cut out for the removed factory seat belts. If you are going to ride any at all in the dark you are going to want side lights, I promise you! I have lighted Seizmik mirrors that work great for this. Wish I'd put them on before installing the inner splash guards. Any wiring should be done before those go on. They're a little hard to install (or at least mine were) and i didn't want to remove them just for one wire. Stuffed a rag into the passenger's side grab bar to keep the cold air from blowing directly into lap as well. Oh and don't forget to get two clevises for the front.
We've been toying around with the idea of harnesses to be sure. We just haven't pulled the trigger yet. I like the Seizmik lighted mirrors, too. Good call! Yup! We have the clevises for the front. Those are a must as much as we get stuck!
Always been a Yamaha and Honda fan. What I just saw in the fender well of that RMAX is absolutely unforgivable. Who in the hell put a wiring harness with no protection inside an unprotected wheel well. Amazing. I’ll keep my 2019 YXZ TURBO 1000.
In one of your videos someone mentioned upgrading the Beaver Concepts rack to the one with the tie holder. Did you guys ever do it? Any videos coming to evaluate it? Thanks
Hi There! Yes, we just got the new rack for Rob's machine. I don't think he's even put it on yet. Wayne took his old top and had it painted to match his sxs; lime green and gray. It looks cool! We'll get something posted soon. Thanks for the comment.
Its the WARN 103950 Wireless HUB Receiver and Phone App - for Powersports Winches. Here's an Amazon link: amzn.to/3UqpHws It was cheaper there than purchasing it from Warn directly. Yes, it the Warn VRX4500 that came with the machine. The Wireless Hub Receiver works with a number of other winches though. Have fun!
Nice vid gents. I spent 58 days the last couple summers crossing Newfoundland in my RMax. For the ferry I get everything I need for the crossing in a backpack as I'm waiting for the ferry. Then it's easy on and easy off. The local folks are friendly beyond belief. For maps, go to the site called "crossing nfld by atv" and it has all the routes to navigate in or around towns, side trip etc. If you go back to the rock they have opened new trails to go north and East towards St. Johns from Argentia that'll add a few more days. Im going back again this summer!!! Cheers.
Thank you Sir. I've been having fun installing new accessories. Even checked out your video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-s4yblTeNqTU.html while looking for ideas.
Joe, thank you for the comment. We're having a great time to be sure. We'll be sure to post something on Facebook before any big trip to Michigan. It's truly a beautiful state.
Great news! Rob just reached out to Beaver Concepts. No, they're not going out of business; they've just been swamped with work. Beaver Concepts told Rob they'll be in touch as soon as possible. We have two of their racks now and working toward another one. We love them.
