Could we get a tutorial for adding mods to make this remaster look like the trailer? A lot of those mods are missing in the full release, and when added separately, they don't work properly.

Could we get a full mod list of everything used in the trailer? And a tutorial on how to make them work properly? I've done what I could myself but most mods don't work properly with this remaster.

Some texture and model replacements don't work. Is there a fix for this?

I installed everything correctly but there's missing models and textures and I spawn in outside of the map in the void Edit 1: When I open Mmod all the maps work but are just the default hl2 maps, the fake factory version isnt there??? Edit 2: The maps work properly now in regular Half-Life 2 but not in Mmod Edit 3: I copied over the map files from fake factory over to the map folder in Mmod and the maps load correctly now but there's missing models and textures everywhere. HOW ON EARTH DID YOU GET THIS TO EVEN WORK???? Edit 4: I tried everything but Mmod still refuses to use the Fake factory maps. Please tell me what I did wrong Edit 5: Now the Fake factory maps dont work on defualt hl2, please just give me a copy of your installation, i'm so sick of troubleshooting this mess Edit 6: I reinstalled Half-Life 2, Mmod, Fake Factory Remastered, Fake Factory patch for the fourth time and it still wont work. The Fake Factory maps, textures and models work in HL2 but Mmod now just crashes and says "Could not load library client" Edit 7: Verifying the cash doesnt work, the steam ui just breaks Edit 8: I've wasted over 7 hours on this now and it still wont work no matter how many times I reinstall it and redo everything Edit 9: I reinstalled all other Mmods and now I get this error instead "248/ - func_lod: UTIL_SetModel: not precashed *92" Edit 10: Now I'm getting "portalnum > numareaportals" Edit 11: Another error and now the map lighting is broken, there's visible triggers and I spawn in outside the map but everything is invisible except the models in the projected skybox Edit 12: Nvm It turns out that I've wasted over 10 hours on this now Edit 13: Now both games load the default maps

The mod has a lot of potential to be the best Half-Life Remaster out there. Sadly it's still very unpolished. There are a lot of bugs and things that work worse compared to the original game.

Thank you! This helped so much! One thing though. I have very strange audio issues once I get to Highway 17. Some sound effects are extremely low and most if not all sounds are slowed down or pitched down. I also noticed animations going almost in slow motion ( not a loss of frames ). I have no idea how to fix this and it only starts once I get to Highway 17. No other chapter before it, at least not that I noticed. I've installed and reinstalled multiple times following your instructions as carefully as I possible can each time. Has no one ran into this? Thanks for any help!

in the next patch fix the host_timescale into 1, rather than below "1" I noticed The coast chapters are slower than usual.

Personally, I still think that this mod is not ideal to play in the current state. The drastic change in the time of day, Ravenholm in general, the lack of lighting, it all makes it just difficult to play this mod. There are also numerous bugs and inconsistencies. I would elaborate further, but you have no discord server, so I cannot easily provide the bugs. I want to help make this mod the best it can be, a definitive remaster.

i wish there was a way to get a way to make it a sourcemod to put it in the steam sourcemods folder as a seperate game. just like mmod

I have an issue where even though I did everything properly as far as I can tell, the maps are still the original versions and not the remastered ones. A few textures are also missing and just appear as the purple and black one even though they have the normal maps of the proper texture

i installed the mod following those instructions, but I'm having a problem. when I load a map (either thru console or new game menu), it loads but the screen stays stuck on loading. this happens both with vanilla hl2 and MMOD. how could I fix this?

I still prefer the original Cinematic Mod. I will revisit when more work is done on this though, as it is a good idea for an alternative.

i can't get MMOD to work with Fake Factory. Every time I follow your steps and launch MMOD it just boots up the base version of HL2 with the MMOD additions, and not Fake Factory.

does this mod come with the episode or only the base hl2?

please help, I downloaded everything just as it was in the instructions, but when I went in there were many objects and there were no walls, there were a bunch of black textures and yellow squares with the inscription, trigger, were flying everywhere, I can’t play normally because it’s not playable. Please tell me how to fix this
