In the grimdark future of the 42nd millennium, Terra is the name of the birthworld of humanity. It is the seat of the Emperor of Mankind, who guides and watches over us all. Without him, and his immense psychic might, the Imperium would be torn apart by the multiple of Chaos and Xenos threats.
Must not be that powerful if he couldn’t tell what was happening with his son, his “favored son” and his most hated son who was in the warp found out and tried to prevent Horus from turning to the dark gods but hey what do I know.
>Ahriman survives 10k years and 2 rubrics to try and save his brothers >some random space elf just magically does it for him >and then immediately kills them in front of him And he's supposed to be the bad guy?
I just became a warhammer fan because my friend told me about it and made me try Warhammer 40k the Freeblade game, it was so cool specially the imperial knights, but getting into this? getting into the lore? not only is this complicatedly simple, BUT ITS SO AMAZING! TBH THIS IS THE CLEAREST SOMEONE HAS EVER EXPLAINED LORE! THANK YOU BROTHER!
Honestly, I hope they won't forcefully make it grimdark, the empire can only take so much before it doesn't make sense for them to survive. It's time for the Empire of Man to counterattack. Doesn't have to be a golden age, just a status quo on a new border. The return of Lion, and perhaps other Primarch should usher a turnaround then a great war.
Would be really interesting to see if this is going to be a way for the full hivemind to take its place in the galaxy creating a faction home for the nids instead of just having them pop up places
I seem to remember reading something along the lines of the psychic death scream also killing all of the Black Templar Librarians, and is one of the reasons the BTs don't have them.
I feel like the idea that its a galactic scale synapse creature is a possibility. The hive fleets seem pretty coordinated including that other fleets leave feeder worlds for Kronos as Hive Fleet Kronos is an anti chaos fleet and has biomass problems. Smaller synapse creatures talk to bigger ones, which talk to hive ships, which talk to Tiamat's mega structure which possibly talks to an array elsewhere of similar structures or the real hivemind?
The only person who can (debatably) be just as bad as Erebus is Erda, the one who scattered the primarchs, and pretty much gave Erebus a demigod to manipulate.
In the Space Marine 1 game, Captain Titus carries a warp artifact around without a problem, and even fought a powerful black legion sorceror. The inquisition could find no stain on him, at all. He is just very oddly resistant to the warp. Now, if it's true that the Ultramarines were given geneseeds and marines from the lost legions, perhaps they actively look for certain traits to surface among their ranks? None other than Roboute knows whats really going on, but maybe the chapter has orders to fish out individuals and send them to special assignments. And this is exactly what happens at the end of Space Marine 2; Titus is sent on a convoy alongside the company Chaplain, Chapter Master Calgar and the honor guard. Maybe one of the legions ended up being exceedingly warp resistant, with great perception abilities. Perhaps this is why they were slaughtered and removed; they threatened the reality of the Imperium by simply knowing the whole truth which the Emperor couldn't mindwipe away.
The idea that a bunch of the raven guard might have followed corvus into the warp and NO ONE besides they themselves knew the truth is what im hoping for. Subtle Revenge sounds like a mastery for the Ravenguard.
The spear would fit with the Norse/viking ecstatics of Russ: Odin is depicted with a spear. So Russ returning maybe looking older like halfather Odin would look appropriate
Automatic victory??? Nah, Horus in 30k proved otherwise! Poor ignorant high lords know nothing! I swear I'm no heretic tho.... *SKULLS FOR THE.....EMPEROR, YEA THE EMPEROR!!!*
Tryanid problem is writers writing themselves into a corner. Too Strong. Totally Unstoppable. Unless they're willing commit to another chaos god apotheosis.wiping them out. Or Chaos decides to collectively turn their attention to eradicating them. Barring that it always ends in a Tryanid victory. Why because anything happening on a macro level to the tryanids always end with "then the Tryanids adapt".
Ngl, I hate the idea that the Old Ones made the Tyranids. It’s just… boring. It cheapens the Tyranids and the setting. It would change it from this grand cosmic horror to “just one more thing the Frogs in the Milky Way did.” Loved your video, I just don’t like how much that particular idea shrinks the setting
Repentias are not volunteers, they are the Sisters who failed and lived, there was only one Sister who volunteered and that's because she had such a high standard for herself she would fuck up every other week in her own eyes making her have the urge to repent, the Repentia Engines are those Repentias that still tried to run while repenting.
I HAVE PLAYED dawn of war, dawn of war dark crusade, dawn of war soulstorm, dawn of war winter assault, i have finished them all when i was a kid, recently now i have finished the dawn of war 3 good game. but when space marines 2 game came out, i was sure there is lore in this, well fuck me, the lore is bigger than i thought, this is the best 1 hour of my life, loved the necrons, my all time favorite, too bad there is no necros in dawn of war 3, game is awesome as sht. i believed necrons vs chaos i would like necrons to win, fuck chaos sht.
