I can't find one old stock new knife from case without having to take out a loan to buy it. And here you are with a truck load of them. Man my dream haul.
My favorite pattern. Look for a black and white checker micarta, like carbon fiber. Skinnier than a cigarette, and a awesome modern touch to a classic. Love mine!
The knife doctor might be interested in some of them old beauties contact him if you want to sell any ..... Sure he be interested 🗡🗡🗡🗡🗡🗡🗡 he has a you tube channel ...... Do you know of him 🗡
Beautiful Collection. My favorite would be the 1980 Apalusa Bone Coke Bottle. I guess because I was born in 1980. haha. Will these be going up on your site for sale?
For the longest time when I was younger I used to close it by lifting that back plate until I watch a video and seeing the guy hitting the mechanism I had it for over 20 years😂
I’ve been collecting knives since the early 1980s and got a little tired of the modern breed of knives and started getting myself some Old Timer and Buck stockmans and wonder now what’s the big deal about all the modern blades?
I have a question, I have a vintage “rough black case” 1920-1940. Should I clean it and remove all the patina from it? Or should I leave it in the shape it’s in? Plz help!!!!
Thanks for the video. I just bought an Old Timer at an estate sale, much like the one you show in your video. It has some issues, and I'd love to fix it as a project, but I have no clue how to do so other than watching videos like yours. Is there a place I can go to get some insight in pocket knife repair beyond videos? I would love to know what tools I need, how to find replacement items that are broken, or how to repair the items.
Great REM Collection 👍 that Big Sheep foot Bone Jack is my favorite followed by the Bullet! I like the honest little wear & patina those 2 have. Thanks for sharing
Greetings , I like the Remingtons , I have just been picking up nos camillus made ,,, On fixed blade : what do you think of the r 6 fixed blade ? I love this knife as a bush craft … but it seems I’m alll alone in that ,,, no videos on it.
Knice knifes❤, I have an 30s to 50s pocket knife It's A- condition, I think, I don't know what Pocket Knife It is But If yawl want to see the knife yawl BoHoBoJay, Hope It'll bring Yawl some Joy and bring Yawl out of the darkest hours of the night. Thanks, From Jay or JJ or Bubba ❤
Magnificent knife and a great video. The web site < Collectors of Schrade r us > has a Catalogs page with reproductions of Schrade catalogs going back to the early 1900s. If you click on the thumbnail of the 1964 SW catalog and scroll down to the second page you’ll see the catalog entries for the first five Old Timers, including an 8OT that looks like your Belknap. These five OT models were all made with “bone Meerschaum handles” and came in the special gift boxes you mentioned. So you’re 100% correct - your Belknap was made by SW at a time when all OTs had bone handles.
The best way to clean all the rust off of anything that's rusted like that is to soak it overnight in distilled vinegar. I do this all the time and it really works. It needs to be submerged in the vinegar. when it comes out it will have like a black residue on it just rinse it well in cold water and then use the fine steel wool and you will be amazed. don't put any oil on until it has finished soaking. Hope this helps.
Those are some nice knives! Thanks for the introduction to Remington collector knives. Now I have to look for them. I collect and refurbish old mostly slipjoints . Your knives are in fine condition for as old as they are.
Those are beautiful brother!! That scout knife is a dandy for sure. That Hanover shoe knife is very interresting to me. The Hanover shoe company is in my home town of Hanover Pa. I have never seen one of those before. If your going to part with that, I may be interested in it. Thanks for sharing those great old knives!!! God bless
I have a PAL 2 blade serpentine jack, the very little info I could find on it says it was made in the late '40s. It's got one helluva pull on it too, a literal nail breaker, that's the only reason I don't carry it.
