I can say that it is the best explanation I have seen on RU-vid so far. I think you can explain the use of all the commonly used tools in After Affects.
I'm sorry but I still to this day don't see the point of this being an essential tool. I prefer directly drawing on the screen (I have a Microsoft Surface Pro 3). As an artist, I've found it much better and more free than using a mouse. Therefore, I use the brush tool and just draw a line. That's it. Simple. (I use Photoshop CS6 because I'm not in a financial position to afford a CC subscription plus I'm in the midst of starting and trying to use Affinity Designer 2) So I still I don't see the potential. Not a smooth line in places where other people think it should be? So what!? Certain creative pieces are made that way because the artist is unique and different, not every line and shape of every creative thing, from logos to art pieces, HAS to be smooth. Everyone does not have the exact same visual preference. Yet employers now expect using the pen tool to be considered as a required basic to know and use. Art requires TIME, not speed. Sure, time equals money, but time also equals QUALITY which in turn equals more money. Look, I'm not having a go at you personally, it's great you're teaching people, it's just frustratingly baffling me in general that I can't find an acceptable reason to respect a tool that is unnecessarily complex to me when I can just draw a line, be happy with it and move on to the next action. Please help me, WHY should I respect this tool and use it more often?
If only you knew how long i have been searching for this 😅. Thank you so much, really helped me know the difference and which to use and when to use them.👍
Thanks a lot! This is the first RU-vid video I've seen where someone really explains the basics of the pen tool. I've watched a lot of videos, but no one goes into the basics like you do. Great job! I’d love to take an Illustrator course with you!
Hello, I am kinda late but maybe you will respond, my question was : how can I create a null that can rotate the camera not from a point of interest, but from the camera itself, when you animate rotation on the camera itself it works that way(it does a 360 on itself), but when you try with a null the result is not the same, I hope you could understand what I meant, thanks you!
@@VladikaeIn the tutorial I use a null to rotate but use the camera for the position, try the opposite. You can mix and match movements and see where it takes you. 😀
@@Vladikae I am not so sure I understand the animation you have on mind. I believe if you go further into the tutorial, I use multiple nulls to achieve that, it just easier to get better animations. Have a look and see. 😀
Thank you so much!! THis is an amazing tutorial! I have a question on the pop-up box. If I have a list of links in the pop up box, would you do a tutorial on how to create those?
@@sarahdippity Hi there and thank you for your constructive feedback! I haven't tried multiple links but the way I would approach it is by creating multiple buttons that take the user to the designated place. It's all about the buttons. Hope this helps 😊
Super useful! Thank you sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much <3
@@EliasSarantopoulos Honestly, I've watched loads of videos on this topic but only now have I managed to get my head around why the pen tool seemed so unmanageable. Really - great job man.
Hi,excuse me, am here again to know how save patterns. 1.I created patterns and saved them as ai but I failed(error message)How can I save as ai format. 2. When I saved as ase format and try to open on user defined, a menu popped up but it didn't contain that custom pattern /swatch I created. Please help me dears.
@@georgeluchoronga2462 Maybe you are getting a software error, I can not tell. When you create a pattern and you save it, can you see it inside the Swatches panel?
@@georgeluchoronga2462 Pathfinder combines shapes into one solid one so it keeps the one that is on top of the layer stack. Try and see, I think that will be the case. 😀
Bravo!!! Excellent explanation of a difficult matter. "Multiple zeros" are terrific, but it's easy to lose track of things and changing them later becomes a disaster.
@@EliasSarantopoulos i need to put one perpendicular axe on a 2d image (layer of photoshop). that image has a 45 degrees rotation, but i can't find the possibility to move the axes of gizmos
@@EliasSarantopoulos yes,, any shortcut to move "current time indicator" to start (b) and End(n) in comp ?? i only figure it out move that using home & End, but end moving to far away from selected work area
@@WibuSableng CTRL + Shift + Right Arrow / CMD + Shift + Right Arrow, moves the play head 10 frames at a time. Maybe this is what you are looking for. If so, are you working on a laptop?
