Wow! thanks for posting it. This is one of my favorite songs of all time. I can't believe there's only 28 likes.Such an amazing jazz rock country band! Love it greatly.
A very faint memory came out of nowhere that would have never surfaced if I hadn't watched this video: they use to play this on ERT TV channel before the cartoons about four decades ago, I didn't quite understand it, I thought is was odd, so I was just waiting for the clip to finish to watch my favorite cartoons. I was probably between 6-8 years of age and for some reason I start remembering this tune recently, a few decades later.
Infinitely better with Cozy Powell on drums. Carl Palmer sounds horrible. Cozy's was much much 3:04 much better. Keith's keys sounds strange too; the version with his band and Marc Bonilla is a million times better than this. Palmer ruined a great song with that awful drumming!!!!
Saw them live in France,lille,1992. At the rockline ...we were 5 spectators...and they played fantastic music totally involved in their tracks ,fantastic band, guitarist and album.love jadis since and im a big fan!
This is a good cover version and just as respectable as the original. Obviously it’s a cover and not meant to replace the original. I think people fail to grasp that. Any band is welcomed to do their own version of a classic song. This one nails it for what they did to it . Bravo
My family house is behind this Stadium. Where the first modern Olympic games in 1896 took place. I was only 10 years old at the time. Unfortunates, I don't even remember it. I could have easily heard the echoes from the music and crowds from my house. Proud to be Greek and that Vangelis originated from Greece 🇬🇷
What was the last few seconds tune Vangelis was playing in this video during when the credits faded? It sounded very Joe Hisaishi from a Studio Ghibli score. Maybe Joe borrowed from Vangelis?
Two brilliant artists, they never obsessed about their own fame the way most celebrities do now, they made their art, and made a lot of it, so that we could all enjoy it, and they didn't stoop to corporate overlords either, Irene didn't spend her life making blockbusters, she made actual art, and Vangelis did soundtracks and scores for the directors he wanted to and they were never phoned in or lazy,
His face expressions say it all. He feels every single note to his bones. That is why Brian is probably the best Hammond organist ever and hope he'll be around for a long time to see him once more playing live.
Vangelis is a real inspiration. He has created entire worlds out of his instruments, and his music shall forever be. R.I.P. great maestro, and thanks for all of your music. Now you just conquered Paradise.
Bandas sonoras que puedes escuchar con la película o sin ella.. Para mi el mejor compositor de musica que he tenido la suerte de compartir su época. Gracias por tu musica Maestro espero conocerte en la otra vida
