Saw a Will Crockett video where he mentioned this. I have this camera and had no idea! This is a big deal for outdoor photography with a flash (especially here in Arizona where the outdoors is very bright most of the time.

I absolutely love this camera. But my one complaint is the placement of the function buttons in the back right on the camera. When I'm shooting My thumb will often depress these causing it to go into burst mode. I have to. Stop and remember how to reset it. I wish they would have the option to to toggle these buttons to off.

How do you get rid of the annoying lag on the S5 LCD monitor? It's impossible to adjust the composition without seeing 'dancing' lights all over the screen. Never had thi sproblem with my Nikon D7100

GLIP (Great Lakes Institute of Photography) is a gathering of photographers taking one of five or six classes. Lots of learning. Interesting students & classes. Mic Level Adj is not responding at all in my new Lumix DMC-FZ2500. I set it at -9db. But no indication that is is recording (it isn't). The L and R metre shows nothing.

Thank you for this video and the recommendations. I hope you can help. My last Lumix was a 2004 (I think) version, stolen from me in 2006. It was one of the FZ-series. I later purchased a full size dslr to replace it, which I've hated. I'm probably going to buy a Lumix again (used, because of economic considerations), but I live in a tiny (Payson) town in Arizona with no camera store. I'm torn between a fixed lens camera and a camera with interchangeable lenses. My last dslr was much too annoying to take everywhere (Pentax K10D), so the micro 4/3 appeals--or I could just buy one of the newer fz, lx or zs series with a fixed lens. I know you can't tell me what to do, but...how's the image quality with the fixed lens models now? How are they for video? How about low light? I can buy one of the G or Gh series if needed, but it will have to be a couple generations (at least) back. Any advice you can give will be greatly appreciated. Panasonic is so stupid. When you save it asks DO YOU WANT TO OVERWRITE CAMERA SETTINGS WITH CUSTOM 1? NO! What we want to do is overwrite custom with the camera settings you just created. This menu is so messed up. It's been 2 years and I still can't get it to work. Custom 2 is stuck on P mode and what are the other 2 custom settings for? 3 positions on dial but 5 in menu?

I love it!…Great and to the point. I really love the zs100’s 4K video and the 10x zoom in outdoor daylight. I just bought the zs100 (yesterday, July 2023), and think it is absolutely spectacular especially in the small form factor…I’m no professional but a hobbyist who likes to take photos and capture perspectives of life. I’m looking into the LX10 for the 1 in sensor and the f1.4-2.8 aperture, thinking it’ll return really good photos in indoor low lighting conditions. Practically speaking, the indoor low light photos the LX10 produces should be better than the zs100 but it’s still hard to understand how much better. Is there a marked performance difference worth dropping another $600 and having to keep 2 cameras around?

I'm 5 years late here, but I've been using 4K PHOTO mode in my GX85 and G85, and I really like the touchscreen (swipe left/right to pick the frame from video) but pressing the control button (left and right) on the FZ1000 isn't seeming fast enough (I have to pick the still frames while I'm in the middle of shooting sports coverage, because the file numbers need to be sequential, or else the team and event can't be logged for me to hand them over to another person quickly). I was wondering if the FZ1000 ii (or the FZ2500) have the touchscreen interface (like the G85)? Thank you again for doing this video!

once you set 4k photo mode how do you shoot video

I just bought this camera for my upcoming visit to the US. I didn't want to take M4/3 with lenses with me. I like it so far.

I went to all camera shops in my area and everything is on backorder. No one sells point-and-shoot cam nearby. My smartphone cam suddenly stopped working. I do not want to buy another phone. I also want to separate cameras and phones. I need a camera within my budget by Thursday. I am losing hope.

I have an S 5 and in constant view the rear display lags so bad that it's unusable at night

I just purchased my G95 and I'm trying to use the flash. There's not much info in the manual on how to turn the flash on. Does anyone have step by step to activate the flash? Thank you!
