Really grateful when electronic gear musicians (gotta be a better way to say that, ha) on RU-vid keep returning to the same devices over many videos for focused performances. It’s really fun to take in the multiple takes. Maybe I’m missing it, but many times, I’m surprised to only see one or a few videos by a particular creator with a particular device focused on, especially when what’s created in those instances is often so interesting to watch. Anyhow, thanks for going about it this way, and doing it in such a quality way!
Really appreciate that, thank you! I feel like these modular instruments are so deep and open ended that there’s always new stuff to find and experiment around with. And the more comfortable I can get with the controls, the more I can get out of them. 👾
Thanks! And agreed, I'm just getting my feet wet with 2 and for sure need to keep digging. Here's a feedback thing I did with a bunch of cross modulation happenin' 👾. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VM-imaM2W1I.html
Kinda miss having my STO. Never felt I got the best out of it or really understood it fully. Sold it a while back and now regret parting with it. May have to look at getting another one!
Yeah the STO is super awesome! It was my first analog oscillator and I got obsessed with it because it's so rich and punchy. Really fun to self patch and get wild. I bet you could get similar feedback results with the oscillator you use if you have some form of wavefolding!
never thought to use the touchplates on the external cv! this was incredibly inspiring and i immediately starting getting some really cool patches going. Top notch as always Strega Whisperer
Amazing demonstration of one of the faces of this alchemist machine. In raw is cool, but all go cinematic as soon as you insert a delay/reverb. Make more!
That's wild! I still have to wrap my head around how the agitation function waveshape influences pitch. In this case the function is synced to the main osc triangle, so I guess the waveshape goes to different harmonics of the main voice?
