Charlie Brown Christmas the Grinch stole Christmas Rudolph the Red-Nosed reindeer Frosty the snowman the night before Christmas when I was a kid the Grinch stole Christmas Mickey mouse's Christmas
When i was born before Christmas on December 10th 1987 before my little brother does on February 1987 the same as i had two brothers before 10 years apart and I watched Christmas cartoons and specials on tv that i'll never forget.
I was 4 years old and I still watch this every year on dvd which I transcribed from an old vhs my mom made and it is literally the only thing that gets me into the Christmas spirit. it has to be the 1987 one these commercials exactly, nothing else will do.
This is as much of my childhood as the specials. Family for a vcr in 87 and I ran the tape out for years of use. I swear I just teared up at hardnose Mrs. Hatcher.
My mom thankfully had every Christmas cartoon recorded on 8 vhs tapes with multiple cartoons on each and had commercials and all. I still have them and I'm going to have them converted to blu-ray and DVD then I'm going to burn them to my old computer and download them to USB sticks. I'll probably sell 128gb USB stick's if anyone is interested.
The commercials bring back so many memories. All the holiday joy is gone these days they don’t do the cheesy stuff anymore it was fun to roleplay back then
OMG! 1987 and McDonalds said “Happy Holidays!!!” It’s almost as if people in the 80s simply wanted to wish others to have a good time, no evil commie plot to wage war on Christmas or anything.
I remember this night Wednesday night & I remember recording both Frosty & the night before Christmas I was 13 & then that Friday night Charlie brown Christmas & the Grinch & then the following Tuesday was Rudolph came on & then the Monday before Christmas Garfield Christmas & a Claymation Christmas came on & recorded all of them , but Christmas that year really sucked
I remember these commercials fondly, back when times were simpler and people didn't rely so heavily on technology to stay connected but focused on their loved ones.
Ahh… the last best decades in our country .. Now it’s gone strait to hell with nut job people in power and soon it will be like the rest of the world. I am glad I got to grow up in America when it was still a real dream and people were not be murdered left and right
My first memory of these Christmas specials was Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, second was Santa Claus is coming to town ,and this one. I was about 10 years old and youngest sister was about 8 years old. they don't show it anymore around Halloween 🦇 It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. and after that the Christmas season starts.
