@@FranciscoMartinez-uc3hx lol you know I actually had my friend (who is a certified plumber for 6+ years) to come check it out after I installed it the first time and said I did nothing wrong. That Delta came with a defect cartridge. People swear their perfect I tell ya lol
You installed the cold supply to the tub connection on the diverter and looks like the hot to the shower head connection. Unless you install the black cover back on wrong. That diverter was installed wrong
True that could also be a possibility. In the video on the black piece it’s labeled tub that’s the connection for the tub. So maybe the black piece wasn’t screwed on correctly so my assumption was hot and cold installed incorrectly. Also Lowe’s and Home Depot diverter quality isn’t as good as when you go to a plumbing supply house.even tho it’s same brand and model number it’s not the same quality. I’ve installed a lot of delta diverters in my 12 years of plumbing, haven’t had an issue. I definitely agree moen is superior to the delta diverter.
That had nothing to do with it not turning on. I removed it and it still was giving me trouble🤷🏻♂️ and as you see when I reinstalled the Moen I didn’t have the black cover on it
I didn’t edit the captions but in certain situations you’re going have to switch the one gang box to a two gang box and when you run your wire make sure it’s a 12-2 gauge. It’s cheaper and less work than the 12-3 gauge. Thanks for the support!🔥
Anytime the lines open you gotta pull a vaccum. You should run nitrogen when brazing so it doesn't contaminate the system. Doing good bro just remember to take those extra steps so you don't contaminate the system. Take some pride in your work it's a good trade.
I always run nitrogen through the lines and a vacuum whenever I recover Freon. I always try to do a good clean job👍🏻 it was just a lot to squeeze in 60 secs😂
@DeeHandyman make sure you run nitrogen while you're brazing though. In your video, you're shown brazing but no line running nitrogen when you braze. It's a good habit to make sure you run nitro when brazing not just afterwards.
@DeeHandyman use a core tool hook up a micron gauge and keep the Schrader in the liquid side an pull through a 3/4 hose directly to the vaccuum pump through the suction line. You can pull through your gauges but you still have to put your Schrader back in to hold the vaccum or else it just blows out an you gotta redo a vaccum on it. Just read the manuals on your equipment. Manufacturers tell you how to install it.
This is a great reason to have a person you trust do preventative maintenance checking the refrigerant charge and cleaning the coils as well as contactor points and the capacitance in your capacitor so you don't have to wait til a break down...if it's left on in this condition it is rough on the compressor windings..that cap (capacitor) could have been "read" and replaced before this happens. I've seen many compressors mis diagnosed because it's thermally overloaded which can damage it as well..tech puts a capacitor in..put power to it and nothing happens compressor doesn't even attempt to start....sorry...please do preventative maintenance and leave it to a professional
Make sure you discharge that capacitor before unplugging just in case it still has a charge! (Rub a screw driver across all terminals) Also, do not jus "add freon". Check the liquid line(small line) and suction line(big line) with your hand (small line should be warm (about 90 degrees) and big line should be cold(about 55)...)
@@michaelhamilton4536 cool! I am still relatively new (7years commercial). I have been hit with a capacitor before xD. Was just sending a warning to those who would try to replace it.
Dude. You forgot to tell people you need to put nitrogen when you breeze, if not, you get scale on the inside of your pipe from the heat and then that will cause a blockage in the filter dryer which will then start to cause other issues down-the-line. It's not and also the fact that people can't touch freon. So yeah
Actually in my full video I mentioned @9:10 to put nitrogen in the system but I probably should’ve squeezed that in on the short. Thanks for the heads up👍🏻
@@AbandonAllLogic at this point you have no choice but to force that shrador valve back in or just let the Freon release itself naturally. Be careful not to get caught by OSHA lol
So how do you replace compressor without cutting the old pipes🤔 lol I don’t either but my gauges weren’t regulated and acting out so I couldn’t get my flame to stay small.
