Bro you do the best job at butchering ive seen. That back quarter wasn't any meat left on the pelvis,,same with the back strap. Those top ribs were clean as hell.
ill be in se alaska next 2-3 months so will defiantly be smokin up some salmon and will try this not looking like itll be sockeye but will try for coho ..pinks if all else fails
I watched the video a few times, I can't really see the brand of hooks, size of squid. Could you send me a small list of what and where to buy. I just started going to Alaska this summer, I'm trying to figure things out. Thank you
John, do you recommend using a double circle hook halibut rig like you do with your J hook rig? I have a trip booked with you this August. Looking forward to fishing with you.
Thank you so much for this video. I was born and raised in Southeast Alaska but now I live in South Central, and I hope before I get much older to get my first moose. When I go, I will have somebody with me who knows what they’re doing. But thank you, this video was awesome. And tell Darth Vader he did a great job on the filming as well.
Perfect thanks man . Will be in Homer in July fishing this setup. A good supplier for salmon gear is gold. Love that you took the time and gave specifics. You ever need a reliable sober deckhand let me know. Will work for fish!
No worries. Thanks for watching our channel. I want any one coming to fish to be as successful as possible and have confidence in what they brought to fish with
Not a dumb question. Their body make up is hard to read on the electronics. You have to have a really good transducer and have your equipment fine tuned. But I’ve been able to pick them out about half the time. Thank you so much for watching and supporting our channel
Any information on land to buy there. Plots?. Timber rights?. My wife and i are wanting to build a cabin there, in the Coffman cove or perhaps surrounding area.
Hopefully you’ve watched the newest video. How to build your own 3- way swivel for flat lines. I made that video just for you. Hope it is helpful and you enjoy it.
Enjoyed your video John. Doves are definitely a challenge to hit that’s what makes them fun to go after. Hopefully you got to eat some of them while you were there. Sounds like you had a wonderful time and the dove hunting was a great bonus
@@thealaskansavage5897 I live at 3500' in the middle of a million + acres of national forest, 6-7 months of snow... the best thing to do here is... LEAVE ! at some point 😂
Watching this again! Can't wait to get up to your neck of the woods! I'll be just east of Klawock in July. May have to see about a visit. Stay safe and tight lines! Great advice! Made a lot of rigs this winter.
How do the commercial guys deal with psp? I'd love to dig them up here but I'm coming from somewhere where they tested for biotoxins regularly (and things got shut down pretty regularly). Not having that in SE AK is intimidating.
Copy. They are tested regularly on the commercial side. But not much options for the average guy trying to put food on the table. I’ve found cleaning them well reduces your risk
Almost bullet proof. Lol. But if one doe brake there customer service is awesome and you will have a brand new rod in your hands Quickly. Thank you for watching and supporting our channel.
