Thank you for liking our version of Going Down on our Calico Jack Reverbnation Site guys. Coming from you, that is a great compliment. Love you guys and what you do. Keep it up for Wales x
Hello! I just "discovered" your songs on Reverb Nation after you "fanned" me! I love what I hear. You're experience and musicianship really come through, and it is a total pleasure listening to your music. Keep living the dream and rocking out! Best wishes.
yes have to agree we were also at the rainbow international hotel in Torquay last weekend, and i have to say we enjoyed both evenings entertainment, the guys were great, fab sound quality , top notch lighting show, just wish we had picked up a cd now.
A good day out playing live by the seat of our pants and enjoying it. Interview was a bit close to the edge we had to watch the old "ham sandwich". I believe there was an apology by the DJ to all the radio listeners at the end of the broadcast.
Hey Andy this is Colin Jones I used to live on Dunraven Road a 100 years ago, have been living in California for the last forty odd years, saw you on Graham Norton and found you on youtube. Great felt like I was back in Croesiceiliog school on a Friday night. Hope all is well.
Ojai Permaculture Great to hear from you Col. How's things in your neck of the woods. We were only talking about you and Laurence a few weeks ago. Does he still live in the States? In a couple of bands not only POM but also "Times Up". We sell quite well in the States and Canada. It's a long story but all of my blood relatives are from the state of Illinois. Keep in touch.
Thanks for the reply, I live in a small town called Ojai about an hour north of L.A., married to Cindy for 27 yrs two children Lauren 36 and Connor 24 and have two grand kids Mooniya and Petra, almost retired hopefully by the end of the year. I have visited Wales a lot over the years my mom is still alive and lives in an independent living facility in Croesy. shes 93. I am still in touch with Adrian Higgins and Phil Ross and a few others. Maurice Carter ( I think that's who you meant by Laurence) is now living in Vietnam, we have both been in and around L.A. for the last 40 odd years, he's been in Vietnam for about 18 months. I live on a small farm which my son runs, we raise pigs , goats , chickens etc its a teaching farm, people come for 2 week courses in permaculture, sustainability, water harvesting etc. Cindy and I are planning to be in Wales sometime in September, if you are playing a gig let me know would love to show up.From the video I've seen it looks like you guys are still having a good time together. Keep in touch.
Colin just been speaking to Andy and he mentioned you. We are playing 4 gigs towards the end of Sep. All gigs are shown on our web site www.thepiecesofmind.com Hope you can make one of them.
Are you contactable by E-mail/Facebook? So it's Maurice not Lawrence, funny how time distorts the memory, especially in the old shrinking grey matter. Yes the band is gigging in September: 23rd The Bush Cwmbran, 24th Garway Hereford area, 30th Castle Barry. We do about 12 gigs a year, because we're distributed all over the U/K and Spain, so it's a logistical problem plus none of us are spring chickens anymore and we all have other commitments. We have a web site, just google The Pieces of Mind if you want a bit more detail. For all my sins remarried to Jayne and just celebrated our 30th anniversary. We live in the old station masters house New Inn with our seven cats. Now retired and a kept man by a working wife. Kerry my eldest daughter is 49 and has a son, daughter and grandson. Roma is 44 and has two sons and a daughter. So my life is driven by music and ruled by wife number two, cats and grandkids. I guess you've lost your Welsh accent by now. Went on your site and read about the farm and it's educational programmes. Also viewed a video which included your son Conner. Hope to see you in September, my best regards to you and your family Andy.
