The Taxidermist is finally released on iTunes!! Bert&Bertie's most lorded, most awarded short film, is a fantastical love story that will knock the stuffing out of and tail that's gone before. Winner at Palm Springs, Rhode Island, and other International Film Festivals.
dont think that there is one UNKLE song that i dislike, it doesnt matter who they work with everything comes out with an amazing sound, this is the kind of music that envokes so much soul
@trimmytrab no prob's, actually the east midlands accent is spoken from around Burton thru Derby and Nottingham into Lincs, just subtle differences from one town to the other.
@romanblood I highly recommend that you watch it, your brother is right it is a beautifuly shot film. One or two scenes are very moving but don't be put off. BTW that's me you can see behind the two main characters - the bald guy with glasses :)
I'd love to skip the struggle and failure part and just be an actor right there where you have your own style and which directors want and request. Thats where life as an actor becomes awesome. And yours.
I love the tone and theme of the movie. It's just strange though, these "hardened" criminals who own the village seem so petty. They all have to squeeze into a single shitty car. They seem kind of just...thrown together. But then again, the thing is that the movie is about the undertone of over looked horror in an every day setting in a small town.
The actor playing 'The Taxidermist' Craig Parkinson is fantastic in the 2nd series of Misfits. Would really love to see a finished version of this...........
@trezbongez I forgot about him in romeo bass but he does play quirky and unstable quite well in that movie. I couldn't see anyone wanting to mess with himin dead man's shoes!
@bigphishy I have just see thismovie one ime and can't think of seeing it again not because it isn't good but it does shake you up specially by the end. I kind of wanted it to be over with just because it gets in your head an you just want a break from it. to me that is a signof a good movie if it gets to you.
@thetruthaboutbjb I have seen dead man's shoes and it is very intense. kind f a tough movie to watch but I like seeing paddy do this one minute and then be in the movie about irish immigrants(sorry forgot the title) but they both are equally good.
@ElvisLivesUpstairs Star Wars was so successful because effects were a novelty at that time, and such epic space movies were too. Also the fact that it's a simple good vs. evil story from the perspective of the underdog. That gets a lot of people onside. Now it's not a novelty, the weaknesses come out, same for similar films.
He knew which people hurt his brother as his brothers ghost/spirit was with him throughout the film, guiding him!hence the title DEAD MANS SHOES,Amazing film along with Romeo Brass.
Hi, Appreciated. I used to hitch-hike to Chesterfield & back, 5 times a week between 1964-6. I would stick my thumb out just beyond the first garage. I used to hide from a bank manager drivng to Clay Cross as once picked up and then dropped off there, it was painfully difficult to get another ride. After Shirland, i can't remember any of it! I left for London in 66. John Tams, Roger White & some other guy would also queue to get a ride too. chrz. yoth.
@SirHolme Rob Lord is the composer, (google him for his web page), look out for my character as "man in hat holding dead pet in a blanket" !!! I've not seen the full film yet tho'.
