Lol horrible video. You totally forgot about the foam and the chin strap. Real workers use it and we arent robots. We sweat and after awhile like everything else its dirty and want to clean it. 0 out of 10 this video wasted my time.

What good is it if you can't wear it in the rain? Do they even make class E helmets? Why isn't this basic information included in this music video?

It’s not the d-ring extender that the problem. It’s the darn lanyard absorption pack. The retractable cable is supposed to be cut resistant then you add nylon that can be cut like butter. Why would a company build a flaw into a product? With out use of a D ring extender it is darn near impossible to attach air remove the retractable attachment without loosening your harness if the dorsal ring is worn in its proper location.

These helmets have no suspension like a typical hard hat. If you bump your head or something is dropped on your head, the impact transfers directly to your neck. There is also no air flow as it is solid (HARD) styrofoam inside and is very hot in the summer. The air vents you see on the sides are blocked by hard styrofoam. When taking the helmet off, the chin strap often takes your safety glasses with it and they fall on the ground or floor. There is very little sun protection for your face and ears unless you buy additional expensive accessories. They are also quite expensive by themselves. Construction workers do not like these products from a standpoint of safety and comfort. While it may be good for confined spaces, in most settings it is a poor choice for head, neck, heat, and sun protection. Less importantly, most construction workers also don't want to look like a bunch of cyclists and rock climbers.

Almost wanted to purchase this but saw your message on this and was really concerned therefore did not purchase any and just stuck to the typical MSA V gard helmet instead. Not sure if Petzl Vertex Vent is a better alternative. Heard that product has been around for more than 5 years already.

@Song Ji Hyo I'm not sure. All I know is that I'm still forced to wear this Kask helmet and no one I work with is a fan of them. With no breathing room you sweat like crazy this time of year, and it's such a tight fit you can barely fit it over a bandana. In the winter, there is no room whatsoever for an average beanie/toboggan.

@orezculapte007 ... it's called company policy Einstein. A mandate. As in, mandatory. It's wear the Kask helmet or you're terminated.

Seems like a product that's not easily cleanable, once it get to a point the Styrofoam smells, it's a throwaway item... I've cleaned and changed the inside of my traditional hard hat for years without a problem. I'm having a problem adequately cleaning my kask.

I supposed SRLS are not recommended for aerial lifts unless they are designed for horizontal application. Is that true? Also SRLs are always recommended for overhead locations unless otherwise approve by the manufacturer? Correct?

Can you use two 6 foot lanyards when you don't have a Y lanyard?
@marcrayner7794
@marcrayner7794 4 года назад
No. The is the potential that you would have two energy absorbers connected during a fall increasing the arrest rate to double.
@gmimatt
@gmimatt 4 года назад
No, while Mark is correct that falling on two energy absorbers would double the fall impact, the more pressing matter is that having two snap-hooks on one Dee-ring is an incompatible connection leading to an unintended disconnection.
