Welcome! I go by Jerbear, and welcome to the Channel! I typically do FF14 shenanigans/raids as heals as well as any RPGs/JRPGs that peak my interest. I hope my little corner of the world opens up and makes your day better through the laughs, tears, and joy!

When i first played through, i spent a bit of time with her and built up a nice bond. And i didn't interfere with her choices here at all at this point. I stayed silent and trusted her. She threw away the spear on her own. It was such a strong moment that made me love this game
The amount of butthurt that I experienced in this scene for the 1st time cannot be described. First I thought that every choice except those 2 impossible persuasions will lead to Night Song's death. (And my character's charisma is 8). Then I realised that actually she can be saved without persuasion just by saying some stupid sh*t like "oh, just don't kill her, she knows something about you and you wolf-phobia". Bleh. Still it doesn't explain why t. f. one of the basic game mechanics doesn't work in this case - I had at the time 100% filled relationship bar with Shadowheart and should have had the advantage in persuasion rolls with her, this is LITERALLY WRITTEN in the description of the relationship bar
I also did it) Burned some inspiration though. With Eagle's Splendor and 4 inspiration points it's up to 10 rolls, so (1-0,95^10)*100 ~= 40% to roll natural 20
If you don't take that harsh stance in the dialogue option just before the persuasion but the more trusting one, it is more like a 21 or so needed to persuade her afterwards. I think she also will throw away the spear if you don't try to persuade her at all and just let the decision up to her but also throwing the question into the room if that really is what she wants.
Nice! There was a different iteration I did with her just doing basically her decision, but it was at a time I was dumb and didn't completely explore Act 2 during that run (no house of healing, no druid followups, or even initial tower exploring) so I ended up reverting that file D:
