Despite them being on Hiatus now and Jesy leaving - all 4 girls have AMAZING voices😭 I’ve seen them live 6 times n everytime the vocals, the stage presence, the choreo and everything was just truly amazing
Yeah. You're right. Jhope become stronger here. Consider he is "new" to rap, you can see how he improve his rap during this cypher. You'll see how he improve his rap in cypher 3 and 4
I know I'm super late to the party, but I just wanted to tell you how validating it is to see somebody else pick up on the, "I can go anywhere I want, just not home," line. I have watched so many people react to this song, and you are the first reactors I've seen to call out that particular line. That is the lyric that always resonates with me. Six years ago, after years of a crushing marriage, my ex-husband finally snapped and hurt our daughter, and after he left for work, I took the day off work, packed up as much of the kids' and my stuff as I could while he was gone, and got the heck out of Dodge. And just like that, home wasn't home anymore and I couldn't go back. It's a very unsettled, depressing, and frightening feeling. I'm sad that she (and Jake apparently) knows that type of feeling too, whether it's as literal as my experience or not, but it's nice in a way to know that I'm not alone. That's one of the things I so appreciate about Taylor's music. She shares the vulnerable feelings we don't dare share because we don't know if they're "normal," but by sharing her feelings, she makes me feel not so crazy for feeling the same things, I guess.
Not sure if anyone already said this, the album/radio version of this song was deliberately made to be super “pop” because her ex boyfriend would kinda put down her music because he only liked indie music. Petty Taylor wanted him to be confronted with the obnoxiously “pop” version every time he turned on the radio. 😂 I would absolutely love a rock album by Taylor. This version of this song is so great.
This Cypher pt 2 is from their 2014 album "Skool Luv Affair" which has the songs "Just One Day" and "Boy in Luv" (MV's you guys watched). RM and Suga went off of those rappers (the video from the BTS guide where they were dissing both of them calling them sellouts and girls etc) specifically in this one especially in Suga's verses. The next Cypher pt. 3 is from their 4th album 2014 "Dark & Wild" which has the songs "Danger" and "War of Hormone".
I know I'm a little late but love your reaction yall! Fun fact about the backup singers 3/4 of them during the 1989 World Tour have been with her during her Reputation Tour and the Eras Tour as well! It's so cool watching her band and vocalist journey with Taylor all these years!
Valeu!Hi boys, how are you? great reaction! honestly, I've never heard of this group, I found it through you but I think it's really cool...😊 I came here to support the channel and make my request for you to react to the official video for the song 'No More Sad Songs' by the group Little Mix ft . Machine Gun Kelly, please, it's amazing, you'll like it! a hug 🥰❤🇧🇷
I had NO idea till the end of the video that it was her. But i mean i am the kind of person who could kinda believe the Superman glasses disguise would make me not recognize that he's the same person as Clark Kent. Lol. I easily get tricked.
Great reaction! Best part of this song is that Taylor said The Man isnt about how she would’ve lived her life differently if she had been a man, rather it’s about how she would be viewed if she had ‘made all the same decisions and lived her life exactly the same way…but as a man’. It’s the double standards of perception. Taylor isn’t allowed the grace to brag about her money, getting models, or astrometric career success, even as she’s witnessed her male peers do those things with minimal backlash. The video is more generally about misogynistic stereotypes and the things society excuses for men but not women. Even if ppl criticize a lot of the behaviors displayed in the video, many of them are still permitted & even encouraged in certain environments.
