stupid question but would yall do a swap for TRD Pro black valances on a brand new ORP if I bring in the parts? Dealership was gonna charge 750 for the parts and another 120 install. I'd do it myself but have no tools and I'd rather not mess my shit up lol
I'm looking forward to this as I just started my 2nd gen Tacoma build. The one that got away for me was my first car. AE86 Corolla in red/black. The Supra was more fun, but I still wish I had the AE.
Pablo is familiar with this vehicle, for me it was a samba green 1993 Honda Del Sol Si. I miss it until it starts raining. Luckly i have no regrets with my truck.
@@TandemAutomotive got rid of it last year after it was stolen the 2nd time. Doing 4x4 stuff now. Currently driving a '23 Chevy Colorado. I know some good spots if you ever want to come up to Colorado.
Your experience with the 460 mirrors mine - I've been surprisingly impressed with the capabilities. So much so that after a trip to Moab in the spring and a recent trip to the San Juan's, I've decided to sell my 4th gen 4Runner and make the GX my all-around off-road vehicle instead of just a dedicated overlapping rig.
I love that I did nearly everything you've done on your GX step by step when I was trimming the bumpers, sliders, and making room for the larger tires. This was the first build where I did all that work instead of paying someone else to do it and I think it turned out well. Looking forward to seeing what you do next.
using the Lord's Name in vain will not only cause you to lose subscribers, but GOD will not hold you guiltless... REPENT and turn to Jesus before it is too late.
We have a 2023 GX 460 Pearl White with a Red Interior. We bought it new, and it only has 10k on it. We have had it for a year and a half. We also still have our 2004 GX470, which we bought a new.
I went with the ToyTec RCC2.0HD's, its recommended if you have the third row still to run the HD's gives a better ride and keeps the back from bottoming out too much.
I’ve been looking at an upgrade for a while and remember your other video introducing the ELKA DC’s, thanks for the follow up. Few qs. 1. Do you have the rear air suspension on your GX? If so, were you able to maintain with ELKA DC or would one have to delete? 2. What size tires do you have and did you have to cut any trim to support it? 3. Is it a full 2.5” lift or can it be reduced? 4. With the lift do you feel any less stability on turns? Btw nice air! 1:17
Just saw all the mods you had to do on the 35s. Another fun video but I guess 35 is out for me since it’s also my daily driver. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZOuHFKfT0sc.htmlsi=p6LfZ1xnHNoZ_kU6
1.So mine does not have the Air Ride in the rear, Typically we do eliminate them for Models that do have the air suspension and do a coil conversion, I haven't seen maybe GX's that have air ride and they maintain the airbag system. 2.35's is more of just me always wanting the most i can get although the required amount of trimming to get 35's to some what clear is pretty excessive on the 460 and i still rub in certain situations. Running 33's is fine and it will still be plenty capable 3.Because of the spring set up in the rear you have to do a 2.5 lift unless you find a lower height lift spring in the rear then its possible. I will say i have found that doing 2 to 2.5 inch lift gives the best performance in articulation when it comes to the 150 Platform. 4.As far as lack of stability....No she feels really planted and that is also thanks to the KDSS system. I feel comfortable exiting on wide turns off the highway. That being said lifting any vehicle you are raising the center of gravity and it does make it susceptible to roll over on the a extreme moose test.
The DC are the top of the line when it comes to Elka suspension systems. Send us an Email to service@tandemauto.com and we can get you a quote together.
James and I bought Jeep at same day from the same dealer in Dallas. He got black and I bought silver. My Jeep was fun in the begining but like James' Jeep, it started to give me problem. So, no more any Jeep product for me. I now drive Toyota Tundra and love it. Thanks for sharing James' video
I blame James for 2 milestones in my off-roading career, the most significant one being turning me onto Toyotas after a ride in this rig in 2011. Went out and bought a 2012 4Runner Trail Edition. Now driving a built, LS swapped 80 Series Land Cruiser. I’ve seen James do amazing things in this Taco.
Inferior! Those are fighting words lol. I enjoy living vicariously through Pablo and letting him experiment with other peoples toys before I try it and break mine.
buying a 2010 gx460 one owner next week with 140k miles! I was a bit hesitant at first, but it has perfect service records, water pump replacement and all the wear items like bushings done so seeing you get one with around the same miles has gotten me pumped and ready for getting back to the yota life! <3 Keep up the awesome content man!
