Again. Thank You so much. I miss flying between Renovo and Lock Haven. Bucky Lunger was my OJT Engineer. He would vividly telling me about trips up Pine Creek. I got to recrew a few at Newberry Yard in 98. That was neat. Regardless, This is William Addeo. Thank You very much. I was so blessed to catch the End.
TY so very much. This is my woman's account. I hired with Conrail at 20 in 97 out of Conway. Im from Elk County . Got to the Buffalo Line early 98. Found a 5 yr old Clearfield Bid still up in Renovo. Did my OJT on the Buffalo Line and stuck around till the NS and went to Altoona. I grew up railfanning the BL. Love going back in time. Thanks Again....
I love his commentary on the video. It reminds me of how my grandpa on my mom's side used to narrate his videos. He wasn't a railfan, but he did get a few videos of the NS coal trains in Middlesboro, KY in the early 90's.
That voice sounds like good old Don Jilson. He took the last coal train up the Pine Creek. That Y where NYC met the PRR is gone, what an historic movement to see. Same with the Jersey Shore yard, it was the wood car shops when it was 1st built.
Was a nice ride through the country. I was on the last Narcoa speeder trip on the line before it was pulled up. I was there with my ex CR Hi rail Suburban and was the tail end of the ride on our return.
