@CCTVSystemsUK could you please tell me if that DVR (IDS-7208HQHI-M1/S) support face capture in how many channels because I cant find this mentioned in the data sheet. Thank you so much

Can I ask what height you must install these ? I’m doing a system for a friend in a yard and only place to put these is on a 6 foot fence ? Is that any good ?
@RainLight1991 Hi, it isn't the fan that is noisy! It's the air passing through the case. If you remove the screws from the case while the DVR is running and lift it clear, you'll find that the fan is silent. As your DVR is an 8 channel and "P" (POC), the fan is required to keep the components from overheating. A common solution is to remove the screws and lift the back of the case in the air slightly so as to quiet down the air flow while still pulling enough air through to cool the DVR. Hope this helps. @JayneOakford Hi, press the reset button on the powerline adapters if they have one. Then, un-power them for 2 minutes. Re-power the main unit and plug it into the new router. Then, bring the slave unit to the same plug and power that up too. This should clear it old ip address that it had from your old router and gain a new one from the replacement router. Hope this helps. Regards, Paul @CCTVSystemsUK
Hi Paul I've just installed 4 of these hybrid cameras at my mums flat. They work perfectly fine during the day but at night they are slightly wavey still good picture quality but I can see speckles in the Image. Could this be a ground loop problem?
How do I set it to only be like from 7pm-6am.. it doesn't allow me and says 'the start time should be earlier'.. I don't want any intrusions alert during the day. ( i was trying to set it up using my mobile hik app tho)
Hi there, I've got my cameras light to turn on at night only when someone walks past it but for some reason when it is activated once and motion is no longer detected the light turns off and then on again even though there is no motion and it will continue to do this until when the sun comes up. Any idea why its doing this and is there a fix?
Hi, Put a data cable tester on the cable and test it! 99% of the time it's a duff cable or a bad RJ45 connection on one, or both ends. Use a made up lead to test the camera at the DVR end! This way you can also rule out a faulty camera. Hope this helps. Regards Paul @CCTVSystemsUK
I have this one DS-7208HQHI-K1 , does upgrading improve anything? Currently using all 8 channels. Is my one old now? If i wanted to upgrade to 16 channel to get more camera slots would it affect anything else or is it a straight plug into the new one? Oh I also want to be able to add more intrusion detections but this dvr of mine can only take 2. What would you suggest please
Hi, Upgrading to an IDS-7208HUHI or IDS-7216HUHI will give you 4 channels for intrusion detection and line crossing on both. But, if you use your motion detection instead of intrusion/line crossing on these newer IDS machines for your human and vehicle recognition needs. You will be able to use 8 or 16 respectively. Hope this helps. Regards Paul @cctvsystemsuk
My neighbour has newer cameras than me so they put in a smart hybrid bullet camera and i can see it from my 1080p dome camera which is set to be b&w at night but their camera shows up on my screen as a light shining but when i go outside their camera doesn’t have a light on, just the red little light. Why does it look like there is a white light on at night on my screen- is it the hybrid technology? What can i do from my camera to avoid the glare?
I have a 1080p dome camera and i use to be able to bring up the camera settings on screen by selecting the Iris button under ptz controls but all of a sudden it doesnt want to bring up anything. Do you perhaps know why this is and if there is anything i can do?
Can you claify why its better to have the isolator at the DVR end. Wouldn't having it at the camea end reuce the potential for the interference to be picked up by the camera?
Hi, Go either into the camera menu or the DVR / HVR display menu and select "White Light". This will bring the camera supplement light on at night with a smart hybrid camera. Hope this helps. Regards, Paul @CCTVSystemsUK
@@CCTVSystemsUK so my installer is a complete twat, they installed the smart hybrid light colorvu camera in my yard and the cheaper one in the front of my house- i thought they conned me as I couldnt figure out why the one in front of my house has such poor quality compared to the back of the house. And when they came to give me a quote and have a look first i told them i want the better quality one in the road as this is where the main security point is and even if they werent sure why didnt they ask when they were installing? *sigh* Is the wiring the same of various hikvision turret cameras and can they do just a swop of the actual camera heads or do they need to take the wiring that they installed with each camera and swop it around? Complete twats and now they dodging my calls. Typical South Africa customer service and here you are in the UK and responded way faster than them. Love your videos btw!
Why does my new Hikvision come with HVR 4.0? I have also downloaded update and it just says HVR. Also l am getting lots of detection alerts because it is only recording for about 10 seconds in each frame and l don't know how to adjust. I would appreciate any help please 🙏 .
Hello Thanks for your videos! Please can you tell me what the difference is between these two hvr with regards to the letters K and M. IDS-7204HUHI K1/4S (C) IDS-7204HUHI M1/S I know the 7204 K has no fan inside. Does the 7204 M have a fan inside? Thank you
Hi, K1 / M1 and K2 / M2 mean the same thing. K1 and M1 have 1 HDD Bay while K2 and M2 have 2 HDD bays. K1 4 channel HVR,'s tend to have no fan because of the oneHDD bay, but the K1 4 channel poc does have a fan. Hope this helps, Regards, Paul @CCTVSystemsUK
Hello Paul Thanks for speedy reply! Ok, so we been sold a IDS-7204HUHI-K1/4S(C) We're concerned as there's no fan it. We thought it may be an old model. Should we fit a fan? The cameras are Hik 3K Smart Hybrid Colorvu, cable is Cat5e. Thank you Paul
Why on my dvr (ids7204huhi k14s) can't I do motion and intrusion together? It says I have to disable motion dection before I can do intrusion or line crossing!
Hi Simon, The resources of the machine can not be stretched to be used for human or vehicle recognition on both motion and intrusion / line crossing. My advice would be to use the motion in its basic form "without human / vehicle." I say this for two very good reasons! 1, Intrusion and line crossing for humans / vehicles is far more accurate and adaptable than motion, eg, sensitivity and loitering time. 2, Both intrusion and line crossing can be used on the same camera simultaneously. where as motion for humans and vehicles can only be used on its own. It prohibits all other uses of this key piece of detection. So my way works better as you can have two layers of protection, instead of just one. Hope this helps, Regards, Paul CCTV Systems UK @CCTVSystemsUK
The HUHI will support the 5MP and the newer 3K coax cameras. Including the "smart hybrid." It will also support the 8MP 4K version. Hope this helps. Regards, Paul CCTV Systems UK (@CCTVSystemsUK)
Could this be linked up to a Hikvision hybrid 4204HTHI poc DVR by connecting it up directly through a Virgin modem ? DVR states it takes up to 8 IP cameras presumably using a network cable directly back to the modem.
Hi, Yes, it certainly can be connected. The HTHI is the highest spec of Hikvision HVR, so it will have no problem with this camera. I myself have an IDS-7208-HUHI-M1/S, and it worked perfectly. Hope this helps. Regards, Paul @CCTV Systems UK
I just purchased ids-7208huhi-m2/s and the build GUI is NVR not the HVR 4.0 you are using which seems easier to use. Can I change mind and how is best way? TIA sheldon
Hi, I'm sorry, but the firmware / GUI on this video was for the previous Acusense HVR. The (B) series. As you have an M2/S. This means it's the newer (C) series. The (C) series GUI is modelled very closely on the Hikvision NVR GUI. Hope this helps, Regards, Paul CCTV Systems UK
Hi ya I have encounterted a error on 3 of my cams it's like a white rolling line that moves from the bottom to the top of the screen other than this the picture is perfect any ideas matey?
Hi, Ground loop isolators are designed to take out most of the interference in such cases. That sounds to me very much like a light problem! Is there a light nearby? It sounds like a light fitting frequency issue to me. This usually produces horizontal lines moving from bottom to top. If this is the case. Try the camera away from the light source. Hope this helps. Regards, Paul CCTV Systems UK
Had my cctv installed for years never had this problem before whatsoever 2 are outdoor cameras and I have a camera indoors do u mean change the position of all the cameras?
i really appreciate your efforts here on the cahnnel. Thanks alot I have a question - when i checked the specs of the model 08HUHI - i found it does not have alarm on/out modules .
Hi there, is there any reason you know of why I cannot actually check the false alarm filter box? It is there but it won't allow me to actually check the box?
Hi, Does the camera have a 'PIR' sensor on the front of it? If it doesn't, the false alarm filter switch, which basically is the PIR sensor, will stay a light grey colour, which you will not be able to activate
Thanks for the illustration. Can I set two different area detection on one channel. For example one area with alarm sirène sound and another with no sound ? For example if the camera covers parking area and the house door. Door area has alarm sound and sirène lights then parking area has only sirène light but no alarm sound ?
Unfortunately not! The alarm lights and siren can be separated for different times, but the area is non-negotiable in that regard. An active deterrence Spro or Duhua IP camera would give you exactly what you are asking for. Regards, Paul CCTV Systems UK
Great video, I just purchased these cameras for my home, I am struggling to adjust the motion detection to enable the smart light to activate, so looking forward to your next video, thanks.
Glad you liked the video 👍 Have you watched this video yet? ⬇️⬇️⬇️ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ij-jAjewWww.htmlsi=0A0h2ITdsYQecnl6 It's an older video but certainly still relevant. Regards, Paul CCTV Systems UK
I found an issue that if you cannot set line crossing detection across more than one hikvision camera then you get an error message “Not enough resource for human body analysis engine”
