Medicare will pay their max whatever that is, if validated by a doctor, you pay the rest, depends on how deep is your pocket. My mother had one of those beds and we had to change the mattresses every 6 months, no matter how you hype it the comfort will not be there.

🔴Please Read Sir 🔴I know you’re most likely, ridiculously busy, but I’m in such a (desperate need) for this particular bed, in some many ways. Unfortunately, like many others, I have Medicare A&B as well as Medicaid Insurance. Years ago,( 2011), I was able to basically get a refurbished Hill-Rom bed for home, somehow, I cannot remember the process, through insurance. I currently am, and have been, (desperately needing) a much more advanced type of bed, do to stage 4 wounds and being, basically bedridden, since October 16, 2021, around the peak Covid-19 Pandemic. I’ve had 12 major surgeries over this time, and spent many months in various hospitals; from Philadelphia, to Lancaster, Pennsylvania, from Oct. 2021- roughly May 16, 2023. I’m fortunately have been home since May 2023. The current bed I’m in was purchased brand new in a box. 4:09 The actual model I believe, is an a Medline 1385 Atterra hi/lo hospital bed. It’s not good since day one! I almost fell out of the bed do to poorly manufactured (from factory) side rails. The broke off the first time I grabbed onto them to attempts 90 degrees turn to my one side. As a man that had no resources ($$) since spending my last saved $2,450 for this bed, I actually couldn’t afford anything else, so our 19 year old son went to Lowe’s and by my brainstorming, had him buy two ratchet straps, to hold my bed rails on. Have you ever heard someone having to go to this extreme before on a brand new hospital bed? Sir, I’m at my wits end here, and don’t know where to turn. I look a your vast inventory of hundreds of wonderful hospital beds, many that would be exactly for my medical needs, but somehow, there’s a disconnect for me and I am praying, sincerely praying every day, for help somehow, so Im able to actually haves a bed, not for the luxury sir, but for my medical necessity. Sir, as you are probably quite aware, insurance only gives that cheap, lightweight, minimalist hospital bed. I was sent home from the hospital, on my old Hill-ROM, that was about 14 years old, without a remote control that worked, and through months of inquiry, found out they no longer had or made that remote control! So, my wife and I scraped every penny together, to buy a “new” (lemon) of a hospital bed. Horrible! Forgive my long message here, but I’m desperate! I currently have a wound specialist I’ve been seeing for the last few years, for stage 4 wounds on my buttocks region of my body. It’s horrible. I’ve had a wound vacuum on for the last two years. If you seen my wound, in my heart, I’d believe you’d somehow feel a sincere urgency to help a person. I don’t know you, but I believe in hope. I hope you can somehow help the, “little guy” that isn’t a big customer buying 100 beds for a nursing home. I’m hoping, somehow with your help, you might be able to help my doctor, or give proper assistance to my doctor, in writing up the prescription for my bed, and hopefully get Medicare to see I’m in dire need of a proper medical bed, one that will, in the long run, keep me out of the hospital, and saving hundreds of thousands of dollars, simply by approving my hospital bed, one I need, not the current one they offer, a one size fits all. That is the cheapest bed out there. (The one brown one in front). It’s a joke, for folks like me; t-12 complete paraplegic, with stage 4 wounds etc. I NEED A SPECIAL, Low air low. Buy the way, the Trendelenburg position bed (Tilts at the head and the feet, while your feet don’t move at all.) Just wanted to clear that up. Sir, years ago, 2011, I got a Full Electric Bed covered 80% and Medicaid 20%. Now they don’t cover it. I need it!! Any ideas on how I can get Medicare to cover a full electric bed?
Get your doctor to wright a prescription for a specific bed model or bed with very specific features. If they are given a prescription from a doctor they will need to honor it. If it is vague you will be stuck with the brown bed. It is nice having it here to clearly show the difference between a real hospital bed and a low priced home care bed with limited features and comfort.
@@usamedbedSir, so what you are saying is, is if my wound specialist doctor, accurately writes a prescription to a specific and well detail way, with every reason I need the features, then Medicare would allow certain people like me a higher level bed? @@usamedbedsir, my current “hospital bed”, is literally being held together at the hand rails by ratchet straps. It’s so scary and unsafe. Could you help me sir, with an example of what other folks had written up on their prescriptions, to get the proper, Low air loss, Trendelenburg, lateral movement hospital bed? My life is primarily in bed these last 2 1/2 years, prognosis on my stage 4 wound is good, but I’ll be more likely to reacquire wounds in the future, so I need the special hospital bed to at least give me a fighting chance.

@@TURTLEORIGINAL Hello - Do you have insurance? If you do you MUST get a doctors prescription for a hospital grade bed. Best bet it to say you need a "Stryker Secure 3" or a Progressa bed. Insurance will only provide what they have to so getting something specific like a "Prius Duet" air mattress.
