@@ProdAC3 tbh I don't even like looking at it as genres, at the end of the day it's mostly just different percussion, mess around with some unique drums from around the world, I'm sure you've heard some afrobeat stuff, so I'd recommend checking out 1990s-early 2010s Bollywood stuff, it could really open you up to just making the best sounding music, not even beats at that point, if you want i could dm you some playlists
