How did you make your ferret be nice with your rat ? How did you manage this without risking the rat's life or health ? Please be precise about all circumstances. Was the rat already present and groin when the ferret arrived as a baby in your home ?
Thank you so much for posting this. On the insulinoma side of our oldest boy’s life and wanted to advise myself of what to look out for and what it looks like so I’m not taken more off guard than I need to be if he suffers a seizure. Your little noodle floof is helping other little noodle floofs ❤
It is possible, so long as introduced together from a young age. But this doesn't mean it would still work. All depends on the instincts of both the rat and ferret. But I mean if a dog and a jaguar can socialize together, then why not a rat and ferret ❤
One of my babies has Insulinoma and one of the things they can suffer is a seizure which is one of my biggest fears for him. Thank you for sharing and I am so sorry you had to go through that 😢 it’s heartbreaking to hear your baby cry but thank you for for being there with them and comforting them as best you could. ❤
when i came home today my mom said my ferret Pinky was twitching in his sleep with his eyes slightly open. This is the first time she has seen something like that and Im not sure quite what it looked like but I really hope it wasn't a seizure. his 1st birthday was yesterday so he is still fairly young. We are going to keep an eye on him to see if he does it again. if he does we will get him to the vet to see what's up. there is a chance he was just "running in his sleep" or something similar. Also just for a side note: he hasn't been lethargic or seeming unwell. He's still running around and playing with his brother and sister and eating just fine UPDATE: so I asked my mom and she said she watched some videos of seizures in ferrets and said that it didn't look like that was it so just some good news. Pinky is doing great as are Slinky and Jill (his brother and sister)
So cute and unlikely. Lots of opportunity for conflict here but they all looked really thrilled to play and interact. Ferrets become a bit much after a while because ferrets play really rough with each other and have loose skin for brawling. But stuff like this is so interesting.
Mine came out from under my bed and was on her side just flopping out of the bed I hope mine is okay though because I'm starting to get scared and she loves me more than my other ferret
I’m so sorry to see and hear that! I have 6 ferrets of my own and I don’t think I could be as brave as you were if one of them had a seizure like yours did R.I.P Logan💕💕💔
My ferret Sofia hasn’t been feeling good and when my mom got finished washing her she peed all over her and kept if shaking so this video was really helpful
Are you kidding me this ferret had seizures and your laughing at it. Not funny this poor guy went through a lot did you not hear it at the end? Plain rude.
The rat does look very stressed out. Not playful at all. Yes, the ferret and dog are being cautious and careful but, the rat much rather play with you or another rat. Trust me.
I have owned ferrets and rats, this rat is not enjoying his play the ferret, -he ferret doesn't mean to, but he just naturally plays to rough for the rat. Who try to run and hide....
Best set up I've ever seen for ANY pet! Must have cost a fortune! How did you attach plexiglass to cages? And how did you set up plexiglass partition of that section of the room? Are your girls spayed? How do you integrate??? I have males, 2 neutered, the others are 2 young still & 1 female not spayed. She gets along with the 2 eldest, most of the time. I need all the boys to get on well so they can share the enclosure. Your set up is amazing!
