Thanks for the video. I know nothing about welding at the moment and was wondering what type of electrode you were using? I also was wondering if you have any problems with condensation and the wooden frame of the window getting/staying wet? Thank you!
I saw a thing where some of these use a bad glue on the PCB breaks down and becomes conductive and can short the main board. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9gqBzLNMFe4.htmlsi=VjLRJvKNghmdgGRt
TEMco is my go to welding/battery cable manufacturer. The ONLY competition that welding cable wounldnt win is possibly in the looks department, id rather have my current going to my amps than pretty jackets on my wire. For my money and piece of mind, its weld wire. Specifically TEMco brand. TEMco is the best price and flexible and it looks good imo. Im a welder and have been for 25 years. Ive seen what weld cable can stand up to, its insane. I like that the specs are listed right on the jacket of all certified weld cable. It has to be so you know what it can handle. With most all car audio brands of wire, its anyones guess, 😂. Most people i know also run weld cable after learning over time what the better choice is. Who would choose pretty looks over performance? Thats what it comes down to😊
Hope mine looks like the good one. I got mine into thermal overload one time but that's because I changed a setting on my head unit I didn't realize what it did but it made the amp go deep into the lows. Other then that I did go into protect and blew 2 sub's now. I have the T1500
I run 2awg welding cable from the front to the back and i use 1awg CCA 3ft runs from the 2nd battery to the amp works just fine for running 3k. The reason for 2awg front run was 1awg was too big for my little chevy sonic.lol
FYI: Anybody experiencing a hum sound from the rear end of a third GEN explorer (especially under load) around 50-60mph should first check your tires for uneven wear. The auto all-wheel-drive components of these drivelines are very sensitive to this. There’s plenty of detailed info on this subject out there “Explorerforum”, and “SeriousExplorations” are great sources. Quite often that hum in the rear dif can be resolved with a new set of tires. About 5-6 years ago, mine went from a very loud hum to perfectly silent with a fresh set o’ rubber. However, there certainly are plenty of mechanical issues that can create the same hum - such as bearings, worn spider, pinion or ring gears, improper fluid levels, etc…. I’m rebuilding mine now from a broken spider, which still drove fine (other than one-legging) but also caused a hum under load. Just thought I’d mention this in case it helps save someone from rebuilding a perfectly good dif, then still needing a new set of tires on top of that to fix the issue.
Espero me puedas ayudar. Gracias.
I saw a video you did years ago about the jbl bass pro 12 sub with an amp. Great video I have one but the amp doesn’t come on. Do you know how to fix that? I’ll check back on this video just Incase you leave a comment on what to do. If that makes sense. Thanks a ton
I love how guys say somebody’s pretty poor at their job you could’ve got in and done it for him . I used to work at a place where guys used to back in B trains all the time and every time one of the guys trailers were a little crooked. One of the crane operators would whine and cry about it not being very straight but not once when I told them, the keys are in them to come down anytime you think you can do better. Did anybody ever take me up on the offer? NEVER
This is a really cool design. Hear me out now what if you were to adjust your speeds, feeds, and end mill and cut it out of aluminum for longevity. I can aluminum on my CNC router it just takes a bit more time.
If welding cable can survive in the brutal environment of a welding shop or out in the field for decades it will probably last in the protected environment of under the hood of a car or truck.
So essentially I can use Channel 1 & 2 as a stereo channel by pressing down the stereo button and connecting a device with 2 outputs into them? Also is the reason your gain is down and the EQ is set to flat on 1 & 2 because whatever you have plugged into the mixer has its over preamp?
I still think sanding helped the adhesion, if it was a two part epoxy Berliner I would say sanding not as necessary. They held 100 for the two winters I owed these rims after wards
hey man off topic from this recent video but i saw this video of how to fix the steering stem on a 4 wheeler. My 4 wheeler does not turn. Like the handle bars can move right and left but the wheels do not. my friend was riding it and he prolly took a hard turn. Could you tell me how to fix it pls.
Have you had a chance to do a good visual inspection, most steering ( aside from power steering) setups are open enuf so you can see where your tie rods link up to a hub on the bottom of a steering column or post , anything damaged? Dose the bottom turn with the bars?
Hey man great video! I was going to get the small version but I think I'm going to get this model - "buy once, cry once" I think for the $$$ it is worth it. Too bad stuff is so expensive here in northern Ontario, Canada.
well if i recall correctly there was only one coil on the primary side, 240 could allow for more power out, however it would not be stable and draw a larger magnetizing current ( just for the core with open secondary)
