We previously had a 2011 Town and Country and currently have a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan. Our Town and Country had 150,000 miles on it when a guy hit it, and it was totaled. Our current one has 10,000 more than that, even though I am not a fan of Chrysler vehicles (I worked for Thrifty Car Rental when they were owned by Chrysler, and with all the trouble we had with them, I told myself I would never own one). I will have to say we have not had a major problem with the van (knock on wood). They are not the greatest vehicles in the world, but they get the job done.
In 1996 i bought a Black on black 5 speed manual 96 GT. mine had optional larger rims, either 18 or 19 inches. They were same design as these just larger. Anemic HP, i believe only 210 out a 4.6L V8, with tons of low end Torque. A SOHC was the culprit. Loved driving it, watching this brought back many memories
I had a 2019 Honda fit it got totaled when someone hit me. Rental car company said they only had a soul for rent. Drove it for a while and loved it. I find the soul way more comfortable than the fit. I was driving a 2023 it’s easy to drive and can put in a lot of stuff that I need. I actually like the dashboard in the one that you’re driving the new ones I don’t like it tbh. Another thing is I love the wireless CarPlay sadly it’s only on the trims with 8inch screen which is weird they should of made it for all trims.
My 2018 Soul has the 18" wheels on low profile tires. Handles fantastically BUT feels like a go kart..harsh ride. Wish it had the 16" wheels. 88k miles. Very reliable but burns oil (1 qt in 2k miles)
Get out of California. Up here in Maine, no one cares if its stock or what mods you do. There's Mustangs all over the place and most people are just going to work or shopping. Run 87 gas. If you aren't racing, there's no need for premium gas in the Coyote engines. No one wants to race me out here, that's kid stuff more common in southern states where everyone is a youtuber or tiktoker. We also don't have wall to wall city traffic. Lots of winding country roads to enjoy a drive. $3.89 for 87 octane and 4 years later, here in Maine, we are paying $3.30, 4 years ago, we were paying $2.00 a gallon. Seriously, get out of California.
Idk why people laugh at it, you never need more, and plus, dude, check the price tag. People want to pay peanuts, complain about the "CARS ARE GETTING SO EXPENSIVE", and when they get something cheap just stfu and use it. you have no right to be sitting in one of the cheapest working cars and complain just because it doesn't have a V16 1200HP engine
I rented a 21 corolla before I got my 23 mazda 3. I had a 2012 kia soul with a 6 speed so going to the 21 corolla cvt took me a bit to get use to the throttle response not being there. The 21 corolla was a great car for fuel but I prefer the 6 speed I have now in my Mazda 3. The cvt just lagged behind to much for me to even want to give it everything
I just enjoy reviewing any car that I get into I guess (whether it's my kind of car or not). I did end up liking the XT5 though - so I'm glad that I had the chance to drive it.
It's kinda neat how it can come apart in a crazy way. The navigation system can be funny because she says "let's go!" but it's bad AI so it sounds like a Mom getting impatient with a toddler.
@joaquinalfonso9589 hace 0 segundos I live in South Anerica. I bought a 2018 Versa in cash for 6k. It is a good, dependable, fuel eficient car with air bags, AC, Apple car play electric windows and a few more amennities . This guy just does not understand how privilegied he is to find such a good car a “shitbox”
Dude didn't even know it was a cvt when he made the video. Tip : next time you floor it take your foot off the pedal and press on it again. It will change gears faster
A car like this is just what you needed if your requirement is just to go from point to point. But you’re into sheer driving pleasure and all of those endless list of things that aren’t much of a big deal to the average person, then it’s not for you. And definitely the problem is you and not the car. You want nice, get a Mercedes or Bimmer if you can afford the maintenance.
I have a ‘21 base model six speed manual LX. A few notes: changing oil on the cars with the 2.0 is very easy - drain plug and oil filter are front and center, no need to pull underbody panels. Changing cabin and engine air filters is equally simple, did mine in 10 minutes. The fit and finish and paint are excellent on my built in Korea car. Apple car play links up and stays linked up - I’ve had cars that didn’t. The 2.0 is port injected, no cylinder deactivation and with the manual no auto stop start either. I routinely get 37 mpg in mixed driving. The steering goes from easy at slow speeds to firmed up on the highway which is nice. So far I’ve had a totally enjoyable experience; if I could change anything it’d be Kia making their engines bullet proof - they’re not. I liken them to BMW engines, they don’t suffer fools lightly. So far, for me, no engine problems at all, zero oil consumption but I’m told I’m lucky. Some 2.0 engines crater at 20k miles but then there’s those who Uber their Soul with 150k. It’s the luck of the draw I guess.
a terrible car when compared to a honda civic, but it is also thousands of dollars cheaper and will get you from point a to point b. it feels slow and sluggish when i compare it to my gmc sierra.
